Looking Up Past Flames On The Internet...

Would it bother you if your signifigant other was looking up old high school/college girlfriends/boyfriends on Facebook? My friend was venting to me last night and I'm honestly not sure how I'd feel. Ive looked up people from my past but there was no intent there to friend them. It was more like yeah dodged a bullet there. I'd think if I were in her shoes and my husband was friending old flames I'd be upset even though it's the past. Both my husband and I do currently have some exs on our pages, but it was so long ago, and they've been on there for a long time plus there is hardly any interaction with them. It's nothing new, if that even makes sense. Either way she's hurting and I feel bad for her. If it makes her uneasy, I'd hope she could communicate that with him and he would stop. So back to the question at hand... would this bother you?

I agree with you.. if it was nothing then no I wouldnt be upset. Guess it depends on the situation and his reasons.0

It would not bother me at all because Im confident in our relationship. I know it would bother my husband and I really font understand why. Maybe because he feels insecure even if I never gave him reasons to feel this way.0

we grew up in different states, so it's pretty much a non-issue for me. (Husband had two girlfriends before me)
I don't think my husband would feel the same, though.0 -
Creeping people on FB and actually friending them are completely different. That's my POV, anyway. I've totally creeped people, isn't that what FB is for? I would never "friend" an ex, geeze.0

No issues between me and my husband. He gets a kick out of me finding something funny out about an ex. LOL! It's fun and harmless if you are mature about it.
It's a reason why I don't have Facebook so they can't creep back at me!!0 -
It depends on your relationship and how secure you are in it. My hubby and I have been together for 12 years and married for 8.5. He has ex's on his friends list, as do I. I'm not going to tell my husband who he can and cannot be friends with. And the same goes for him telling me. We have a solid relationship so there are no worries. If you have to worry about who your SO is friending on social networking sites, then there is probably something there are some trust issues in the relationship that you need to work out.0
