I am a diabetic and it is hard to eat alot of fruits/ veggies and not raise my blood sugar. .. I love carrots but scared to eat them. The highest my blood sugar has been was 303. any suggestions of amount of fruit and veggies to consume and not raise BS so high? What worked for you?

You should really check out books/articles on the Glycemic Index. Some fruits and veggies will affect your BS differently than others. I'd stay away/eat sparingly highly sugary fruits like pineapple or overly ripe bananas, as well as overly starchy veggies like potatoes, corn, etc.0

My nutritionist gave me this order for what fruits are "best" and "worst": 1. Berries (very good for diabetics), 2. Apples and pears and such (good) 3. Melon family - watermelon, etc. (not so good). I try to eat a lot of berries and pears and apples and stay away from the melon family.0
