Runners--What day will you surpass last year's total?

Options
I'm 13.7 miles away from passing my total mileage for 2011 with a little more than 2 months left in the year. I'll pass that milestone on my long run Saturday since tomorrow is a rest day? How about you? Are you getting close?

Probably not until the last 2 weeks of December.

I'm at 2352.6 right now. On this day last year, I was at 2287.6, so I am 65 miles ahead right now. I finished with 2769.8 last year. As I am doing a second marathon in January this year, my mileage should stay pretty high through the end of the year. I should finish with around 2900 this year.

I passed last year's total on May 2d. 2011 total running miles at this point was 1260. So far in 2012 it is 2831. I just restarted running in Mar 2011 so exceeding last year's mileage wasn't so hard. It won't be so easy next year.

I surpassed it back in June. I started running last year. Ran a total of 663.2 kilometres last year. This year I'm at 896.1 km.

I'm only just starting on my running goal. I've been running for a couple years now but never super serious. I hope to run >100 miles a month for the year. I started mid Aug after getting a new job. So far I am on track. I plan on toughing it through the horrible Canadian winter. Looking forward to seeing how much I progress as the months go on!

I surpassed last year's total on day 1. I started running in April, ran my first straight mile in May, first 5K in June, and I have a half marathon this Sunday.

Total mileage as of today is 423.435 miles.

I ran 1000.5 miles last year, I am at 929 right now, about 30 miles ahead of last year at this time. I'll probably pass the 1000 mark in late november or early december?

Last year, I probably only ran 100 miles total, if that. In 2012, Nike shows I passed 100 miles this year back in June. Right now I'm at 215 with no end in sight! One 5K next month, and two 5 Mile races on the books through December, and that's not even counting training runs, which amount to about 15-20 miles per week.

Already ahead of last year (only because I missed 6 weeks last fall with an injury).

I surpassed it on April 8th. That was also the day I started running... at 41 years old and about 100 lbs. overweight.

As of yesterday I'm at 264.10 miles for the year. I try to run every other day and would LOVE to go more often but I want to make sure I build up properly. I have a my first race, a local 5K, scheduled for the end of October but expect to take on a more aggressive race schedule in the new year.

Every day I run I beat last year's total. It's a PR each and every day. Wooo hoo!

It happened sometime in July. I've been a runner off and on for over 15 years, but only recently got more serious about it, and I was on a mission this year! :)

ETA: about 474 miles last year, 787 miles so far this year.

Passed it on day 1 :-) I ran my first 5k last weekend and have 2 more scheduled for this year. Question, how do you track your miles run?

You could write them down or use an app like Runkeeper. (What I use). It will keep track of miles ran for you.

I'll hit 2,000 miles in a couple days. I have no chance of beating last year's total of 2,501 until late December (if then).

DailyMile is a good one. Their maps appear to me the most current that I've seen.

Wow...I was happy with my totals until I read everyone else's...

Last year I did 618 miles which I will hit on November 17th in the middle of a 12 mile Saturday preparing for my 5th Half Marathon. I will end up with just over 700 miles this year (obviously taking it way down for the holidays after my race!).

Awesome totals for the rest of you!

I don't remember what I did last year - 800 and something I think. I'm already at 909 for this year. I also track on dailymile.com
