I don't think I have ever posted in the success category, so here it goes. Yesterday and today I reached 2 incredible milestones. My total weight loss has reached 34 lbs. which puts me approximately 13 away from goal weight. The coolest number for me to think about is what I saw on the scale yesterday morning...199 lbs. I have only been under 200 one other time in my adult life, and that was after a year of 5 day a week weight lifting a few years back.
Now since I started this journey the number on the scale has consumed me, I can't wait until Thursdays, my weigh-in day. But today I have a new number that makes me way more happy than any number on the scale ever will... 3.2 as in 3.2 miles as in 5k. Yea this morning was Week 7 day 3 in my running program called C25K, for those not familiar it's a couch potato training to run a 5k race. My workout was supposed to be run 25 minutes or 2.5 miles. Not only did I run the 25 minutes, approx 32-34 is more like it, I ran 3.2 miles!!! I have reached the goal of the program with 2 weeks left to go. I will be running the local Susan G. Komen 5k next Saturday. I have so many emotions running through me right now, I can't believe what I have accomplished.
All credit goes to my maker!!! Glory to God!
Thanks all! Keep rocking hard, and don't ever give up...

Thanks so much. I have never ever been a runner, but I'm starting to get the fever!0

I think it's ridiculous to bump your own thread in order to maybe get a little attention...
With that being said.
