How do you sweeten your Greek yogurt?

i use greek yogurt in place of sour cream...so i eat a lot of chicken with greek yogurt and peppers and put it on a low carb tortilla.
for a while i sweetened it by using protein powder.
This is exactly what I do! Plain No Fat Greek Yogurt is my sour cream and for parfaits I drizzle half a tablespoon of honey and then fresh fruit and granola!
It just takes getting used to, if not, opt for Vanilla or any other flavour0 -
canned pumpkin and cinnamon
fresh raspberries or blueberries
homemade granola
protein powder-flavor of your choice but I like chocolate or vanilla
cacao powder
a little peanut butter
sugar free jam0 -
unsweetend cocoa!0

Honey isn't bad. One tablespoon is just enough for a single serving. The ultimate greek yogurt (for me) is fage greek yogurt, a tablespoon of honey and a few sprinkles of cinnamon. You could also add in peanut butter, but that'll drive up the calories.
I tried just doing berries and yogurt and it was too sour tasting for me. I tried adding in vanilla and still...no. Honey is the way to go.
Edit: Should also note, I can't stand the honey/vanilla flavored greek yogurt. It's just gross to me. I'd rather do it myself. To each it's own. Experiment!0 -
I've given up trying to like it as a snack, I sub it for mayo on sandwiches, and in tuna salad ect... It's enjoyable that way.0

I use Crystal lite drink mix or Sugar free coffee syrups.0

Take about 6 oz. plain Greek Yogurt. Add thinly sliced strawberries or blueberries. Sprinkle one packet of Splenda unformly over the yogurt, then mix and crush the fruit up to release the flavors into the yogurt.
It will not be too sweet, like it would be if you added some sugar. This method merely reduces some of the tartness. If you want the sweet type, then get it with the fruit added from the manufacturer - but realize they sweeten it with HFCS (high fructose corn syrup) which, come to think of it, has a lot to do with why fitness sites like this one are flourishing.......
Good Luck,

eat it off my boyfriend.
hahaha...or in a sugar free waffle cone (applesauce is good this way too)0 -

Sugar is sugar is sugar. Honey is fine if you like it, but it is essentially just sugar (plus trace, insignificant amounts of other nutrients). Same for agave; it's fine if you like the taste, but is no better than adding sugar (maybe worse since it is high fructose if you care about that). If you want no calories, you have to use an artificial sweetener. If you are afraid of them, then just use sugar, honey or whatever. It will still be healthy. Personally, I only eat flavored yogurt (Greek or regular); it still is low in calories and I have no desire to eat things that don't taste good if I don't have to.0

Agave nectar has a low glycemic index if you're worried about ow your body metabolizes sugar/honey. I don't eat the unsweetened greek yogurt but i should probably start. Maybe you can mix 1/2 sweetened and 1/2 unsweetened until you get used to less sugary taste and then continue to decrease the sugary one and increase the plain until you're used to it? Right ow i mix my fruit greek yogurt wi cottage cheese... Decreases the sugar content and increases protein content of yogurt and decreases sodium content of cottage cheese. You may be able to add something like that MiO water flavoring... I'd say you'd only need a drop or two and they have all kinds of flavors and made with no calorie sweetener.0

I use vanilla creme stevia.0
-
I just buy the vanilla flavor. Plain greek yogurt is nasstayyy.0

any flavor of Torani sugar free syrup is great. If you add the caramel flavor you can dip apple slices in it. Also add Mrs grass chipolte salt free seasoning to Greek yogurt for a veggie dip.0

I just tried vanilla Greek yogurt with 1 tbsp of PB2 yesterday and it was amazing. Today I tried the oikos toasted coconut Greek yogurt with the chocolate PB2 and it reminded me of a mounds candy bar...soooo good0

Honey. And if in season honey and figs. I use with fruit instead of custard or icecream.0

On holiday in the hotel in Greece I had tinned sliced peaches with Greek yogurt.
At home I use Fage Greek yogurt with tinned peaches in juice not syrup or any fruit I have to hand.
I do like sugar free jelly and yogurt, after a while I started thinking it tasted like fresh cream :bigsmile:0 -
It's not calorie free, but I love mixing unsweetened apple sauce into my yogurt... so yummy0
-
Some Stevia and sugar free coffee creamer. The seasonal varieties offer some good flavors. I know it isn't the healthiest option, but I don't use that much. I have even used some of the creamers that aren't sugar free, but just use a little bit.0

crystal light0

frozen dark cherries ,sometimes topped off with slivered almonds0
-
I add it to my morning breakfast shake0
-
oh wow! great idea! never thought of that! thanks0

I have been eating Fage Greek yogurt with honey, it's 150 calories and really makes a great "cheat" that's healthy too! I would also use any berries with Stevia.0
-
I add 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon some people says its good for fat burning
i agree with the cinnamon, but i also add "bear naked" granola, it adds calories, but not much and its delicious!0 -
I agree the Fage brand is great! I started buying the large size and add my own honey. Peanut butter adds to many calories and the honey helps the sweet tooth.0

I'm a big fan of agave nectar - the low glycemic index as another poster mentioned is right on. It is sweeter than honey so you don't have to use as much.
My other fave is to use mandarin oranges. When they (in cans) go on sale at the store I buy a ton of them because I use them randomly for recipes and I like to have them on hand to put on oatmeal, squeeze on meats, etc. Nom nom!0 -
I use agave syrup or all-fruit sugar free jams. Agave doesn't effect you're blood sugar as honey or sugar do.0
-
Your blood sugar. Goofy autofill0

there are soooooo many health benefits to honey though....google it - you could live on honey alone yes, it has sugar but it's such an amazing substance.0
