Herbalife

Has anyone tried Herbalife before? I'm really thinking about giving it a try. It is something I can now afford and it seems like something that I might be able to achieve during the school year. I'm a full time college student taking 16 hours (which as a music major is 9 classes) and I'm a part time teacher. Being at school from 8:30 am to 5:30 in the evening, it's really hard to find time to eat properly, especially when you cannot get home and get started on your homework until at least 6. Can anyone give me any feedback??? This would be only temporary, just during the school year for the next 3 semesters and not during the holidays or during the summer.

I use Herbalife and I really like it. I got about 70 recipes when I started, so I didn't have to have the same flavor every day. Now I have more. About 8-10 new recipes come out every month. I am used to "grazing" while I am working, and the shakes really help.

My daughter has tried it and liked it.

I hope you give it a try.

If you are on a student's budget, it;s prob best to avoid overpriced garbage. If you aren't ravenous, you could just avoid eating that whole time you're at school and eat something prior to going and when you get home, or if you felt you needed it, you could get a protein powder that is much cheaper price per serving
  • I have used it and they sell great products. It wouldn't hurt to use some good food supplements since you can't eat well most of the day.

I didn't ever say I was on a college student's budget. I have a job that I can afford a program like this.
  • I've been using Herbalife products, and I love them. So much in fact, that I became an independent distributor. I have a ton of recipes. Feel free to send me an email. Herbalife is so much more than Just Meal Replacement shakes...

I can do a complimentary wellness profile on you and get you started on a tailormade program. I also offer 24/7 support, coaching, mentoring, etc... All free (including the wellness profile)... All you really have to pay for are the Herbalife products themselves. Doesn't matter what part of the country you live in, I can help you.

I've lost over 50 pounds and counting.

Why not just pack a small cooler with some healthy clean real food? It doesn't take much time and effort to put together some healthy snacks. Apple and yogurt. Almonds and apple. Hummus and veggie sticks. Tuna-avacodo sandwich. Sweet potatoes and chicken. PB and J. PB and celery. Cottage cheese and fruit. Mictrowave a bowl of oatmeal. Pop a roast or chicken and salsa in the crockpot and come home to a delicious healthy meal waiting for you. You can eat healthy, real food in smaller quantities and lose weight. I am not a fan of expensive "weight loss" products such as herbalife, or shakeology sold through pyramid schemes. Someone is making a lot of money on our sincere efforts to want to lose weight. It's about a long term lifestyle change involving healthy eating habits, eating less and moving more. Whatever you choose I wish you well!

Here are some recipes that I copied off of a related thread...

    2. Apple Pie
    2 scoops Vanilla Formula 1
    1 scoop Vanilla PDM
    1/4 tsp Cinnamon
    1 tbsp Apple Syrup
    1 tsp Vanilla Pudding mix

My recipe is a little different. The protein is what makes you feel full longer, so I don't understand why there is only one scoop of protein (PDM).

    Apple Pie
    2 scoops Vanilla Formula 1
2 scoops Vanilla PDM (change from above)
    1 tsp vanilla pudding mix
3 TBSP applesauce (change from above)
    1/4 tsp cinnamon

I have tried this using Cookies-n-Creme Formula 1 instead of the Vanilla Formula 1.
  • How about using this as a post workout Protein recovery? Not looking to use as a meal supplement.

Also, I noticed it doesn't say anything about water/milk. I always use 8 oz of water. There is enough flavor that I can use water and save my calories for later in the day. You can, however, use 8 oz of milk.

Sometimes I add personalized protein to my shakes...especially on the days that I work out after work.
