Hi, just wondering what running shoes work best for everyone. I'm currently in Nike but wanted to look for something new.

I love Asics. I was a huge Nike fan, but couldn't run in their shoes any longer. But LOVE Nike as cross trainers. I went to a running store and was fitted into Asics. They just gel to my feet so nicely.

I have had both Asics and New Balance. You really ought to go get fit, as it is not about brand but foot/arch type.

Thanks, I have been fitted every year and I seem to go back to the same Nikes. I also only buy runners once a year, should I be buying them more often?

Depends how much you run... you should change your running shoes about every 300-500 miles.. I seem to need to change mine every few months, you may be going too long...

Do a training log-you should be changing shoes every 300-400 miles. This happens quick!!!
I wear the brooks top of the line stability shoes-they run about $100.

New Balance is the running shoe of choice for me, Nike hurt my feet terribly when running..... But everybody's feet are different. I'd say go to a running shoe specialty shop, let them measure your feet and watch how you walk/run and let THEM find a good shoe for you.

I liked my Nikes too but couldn't run in them either ~ got plantar fasciitis. So I switched to some Sauconys and they have been fabulous.

Brooks GTS 10. As someone stated earlier, they are pretty costly, but SO worth it. I used to have issues with my shins when I ran, but when I bought my Brooks, no problem since. I am currently on my third pair! Love them.
