Heart rate monitors (inc Karrimor)

I'm after a basic HRM, I can't afford to spend a fortune. I just want the basic features, reliable and it would be great if it estimated cals burned too.
I'm making an order on sportsdirect anyway, and seen they have this one: http://www.sportsdirect.com/karrimor-heart-rate-monitor-ladies-754073?colcode=75407399

Can't find too many reviews on it though, and don't know if it calculates calories. Does anyone know if it's decent?

    Am assuming you bought one of these by now? Am actually trying to choose between the two monitors you mentioned myself. Which did you get and what did you think of it?

    if you did buy the karrimor did it pick up your heart beat?? I can't get mine to pick up a heart beat at all :( which is annoying!!!!
