Anybody know how to track exercise for a Body Pump class at 24 hour fitness? I searched under cardio and it didn't comp up with anything. I will be going tonight for the first time? I'm a little nervous for some reason.
THANKS!

Log it under circuit training, I'd say.

HRM monitor. I am thinking this is the best way to go for all workouts. Soon I will be using one too.

You can create your own exercises - I log Body Pump as ~320 calories/hour, based on my exertion level at that versus other activities.

In a typical BODYPUMP class, you can expect to burn about 300-400 calories depending on your height, weight and gender. The smaller you are, the fewer calories you burn.

HRM, you can get a really good one for 60-70 IF NOT then... circuit training...don't eat all those calories back (if you do) because it may be more than you really did or less - who knows. Everyone's body is different and burns fat differently lol

By the way, Body Pump is FANTASTIC! I did it for 2 years twice a week and it really helped me get fit - I started to see those awesome muscles in my shoulders and back. Hope you enjoy!!
