Exercise DVD's - Recommendations Please!

I'm after some suggestions on a good exercise DVD for home. Something that gets the heart rate up, but, I'm not after something
too complicated either! I've tried the Zumba but they just wiggle around too much for me to be able to keep up. After either just generalised aerobics, or pilates, or something which is easy to follow. Thanks!

Check out Youtube for free videos. Someone mentioned BeFit in 90 and I checked that out. It is challenging. I can't always keep up, but I just go my own pace. There are a lot of videos on there though. good luck
  • some of the best are the OLD Firm video series, Volumes 1 through 6, Think you can get them on DVD now. And anything with Tracy Long from the Firm video series. She has a classic beginner one. They are a bit hard to find but still classics. Earlier ones use leg and ankle weights, later ones use bars and bells. Some use higher step ups with weights. I'll let everyone else talk about current DVDS. Try Collage video for great DVDs, you can see clips before you buy them.
  • There is a series called "10 Minute Solutions" and they have about 5 dances per DVD. They have Salsa, Country Western, lots of different type dancing for different people. What is cool about it is if you are a beginner, you can take it slow and start with 10 minutes, or if you are pressed for time and 10 minutes is all you have this fits great into your schedule. As you progress you can do 3 10 minute dances for 30 minutes of fun dancing (as fun as exercise can get - for some).

I also LOVE Richard Simmons! His oldies and newbies!

Hope this helps! Happy dancing?

I'm a huge fan of Jillian Michaels DVDs, particularly banish fat boost metabolism and no more trouble zones. They really helped build my stamina.

I love my Rockin Body DVDs. I haven't done them all yet, but I'm getting better at the first few! They aren't "jiggly" like Zumba, more like line dancing. They're good at walking you through the tinier parts of the workout before getting you up to the "put it all together" bit. And the music is pretty good too, for workout music.

As with all workout videos, I mostly spend my first watch trying to figure out the moves and not getting much of a workout. The second time through is much better!

Be warned, they're full of (loud) ads for other Beachbody products before and after each video. Be ready with that mute button!
