I am currently at 143 but would like to get down to 128-134 where I seem to feel more comfortable. Just hoping to be able to maintain this time since I am doing it the right way!

Around 150 is my goal, I still have about 30 to go. Its more about how I feel than a number.

<---- 5'6.5'' and 118 pounds in this picture. It's very comfortable for me and I definitely don't look or feel underweight. I'm 120 ATM, so just about the same. I'd like to try putting on muscle, maybe?

5'7" pear shaped, medium build, and my goal is 150's. I'm at 172 (size 12 and M/L shirts) down from 219. 150's are where I'm most comfortable. That's about a size 10 for me. Maybe an 8 with all the lifting I've been doing.

5'6'' here... and I am looking to be around 121 pounds. It's the likely weight for my ideal body-fat which is 17-18%. I am a long-distance runner, so this works for me.

I'm currently at 134 and would like to get down to 132. My original goal was 145, but I lowered it when I actually got there. My actual reason for 132 is to hit 100 pounds from my highest weight ever. I selected 134 because I consider a BMI of 22% to be a healthy place for my height. I'm more concerned now with body fat percentage. I'm sitting at 20.1 and I'd like to dip into the 19's. If I can keep my body fat down and put on a couple of pounds while building muscle, then I won't be too concerned. My weight has actually become secondary to body fat percentage and clothing size. I was 130 until I got pregnant the first time and it seemed to be a weight that I could maintain, but that was 19 years ago so we'll just see.

Good luck to you. My guess is your ultimate goal will be a moving target, but set something attainable first and go from there.

I'm aiming for 150 also, try to maintain that, then see about going lower. However, I'm concerned about sagging skin.

I'm 5'6" reaching for the goal of 140. I'm just starting out at 185 and at age 53 it will take awhile.

    5'7", goal is 135. Currently at 140.

I've spent most of my adult life between 129 and 140, though I've been as high as 180. 129 is a little light on me and hard to maintain unless I am running half marathons (I never wanted to be under 130, but literally couldn't keep weight ON when running that much). 135-140 looks good and is easier to maintain.

Too funny, I am 5'6.5 as well! My goal is 130 lbs which was the weight I was when I graduated basic training in 2004. Since I've had 2 kids, I am around 165ish right now. I have a larger frame, thanks to some Native American genes, so I will never be a skinny mini! When I was 130 I was a size 4 or 6 and I felt and looked amazing!

I am also 5'6" and the lowest I have gotten as an adult was 165. Then a friend died and here I am a year later at almost 190. :-(

My ultimate goal weight is 145 so that if I do gain 2 pounds, I'm not immediately back in the overweight category. The highest weight for our height to be "normal weight" is 154. I think I'd be happy with that, but my goal is 145.

I'm 5'6". Curvy, but with no chest. :( sad for me!
I started around 180, & am down to 142. My goal is 135. But it may change when I get there. I got to 148-150 and was happy there. I decided to try and maintain that for 6 months just to see if I could do it, then I started to try to lose a bit more.
I wear a size 28 Jean right now, and am size 8.
    Good Luck to everyone! :)

5'6.5" exactly. I've been as low as 125 as an adult, but my current goal is around 140-145. At 190, I'm not sure I can do even that. I'm trying to believe!

I started at 217 and the lowest I have ever been in my life was 173; however, I am just over 200 right now and I am in the same size I was at 173. I was aiming for 165, but with how well I am changing my body composition, I don't know anymore. I am trying to aim more for a size 10 and 25% body fat right now, then I will re-evaluate.

Okay, this post made me laugh because I actually am also 5' 6.5" I have a medium build, with large hips and chest. My original goal was 150, but after speaking to my doctor, she recommend shooting for a fit 165 and going from there. For me, she doesn't feel 150 would be very easy to maintain...and she's probably right.

As an FYI, she also said a woman my height shouldn't eat less than 1500 calories per day for normal female function.

I weigh 196ish right now, was previously down to 176 and got lazy. Boo!

I am 5'6.5 as well (5'7" on a good day). Honestly, my final goal is probably 180, but I'll wait and see what I look like at 200. I would be happy in a 12-14. I have a large frame and carry my weight fairly well, so I think 200 is a reasonable goal for that.

I am between 5ft 6.5 and 5ft 7 depending on who is doing the measuring. I currently weigh 168 and have set a goal for 145/150. Before I was sick I hovered between 130 to 138, and I did not have hardly any curves, so I think that 145 will be great!. I have a similiar shape to your, medium frame, large chest, but my hips aren't too big. I wish I could maintain my hips, and just lose in the chest and stomach area. Good luck to you!

I am exactly 5' 6 1/2"!! That is so funny. Everyone thinks I am silly for putting in the half inch.

I am right now 189, trying to get to 160. It is slow and steady, and I could use some support from people in the same situation!

    I am very curvy. Right now I am 39, 34, 44 measurements.
  • I am 5'7" and my goal weight is 150 also. I think it's a good weight for me, and I'm similar to you in the regards that, as far as I remember, 165 was my lightest and I felt pretty good at that weight. At least compared to how I feel now.

I'm 5'7' and hovering right below 160, but I still can see the fat deposits on my belly and thighs (I hate the look when I flex my muscles and see fat hanging off it!).

I hope once I get down to 155, or 150, they'll be less noticeable.

I want my ab muscles to show through and they do not at this point.

Thanks ladies. grammiejul: This is where I'm at as well. Pre MFP I was 225. Starting MFP I was 219.6. I'm 35, and the lowest I remember weighing after HS was 125-130. I dont want to lose my curvyness, but truly like to see how low I can be and still look healthy.

I'm 5'6" and I started at 230. I'm 187 now and a size 12. I haven't been a size 12 since high school....but I weighed 150 then. My goal right now is set to 170. I might try to go lower once I get there, but I'll have to wait and see.

Having visible abs is more about BF% than weight. I don't have links, but I know if you use the "search" tab, there are some helpful posts here to learn about how to reduce BF%. I read that women have to be between 13-18% body fat to have visible abs (typically).

    Good luck!
