    From Oct 1st to today (Oct 28th) I have either ran or biked a total of 262.76 miles.

    I can't believe that I have gone that far and I still have 3 days left. And I haven't included all the walking I do...I walk our Lab 3 times a day. So maybe I'll hit 300 miles before the end of the month. :smile:

    1.83 miles walking tonight while kids played with scooter...thought it was 2 miles but my gps shot off to the street and added extra distance....oh well....i am still going to bust my *kitten* to finish 20 by wednesday....

    8.39/20 complete

  • @JTH11706 Wow, awesome work! And here I am proud of my three and change. :happy:

    Added 3.45 running on the treadmill today. I'm doing a better job of pacing myself running these last couple of weeks so I've probably only got one more run in October.

    While I'm loving all of the exercise I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up this pace as the weather forces me indoors more. It could be that I'll just make more liberal use of my YMCA membership in the winter. What do you all think? Is it harder to get in your miles in the winter?

    10/26: 10.2 (Bike Ride)

    MONTH TOTAL: 82.15

    Not going to make my goal this month, unfortunately. Turns out that I've got a femoral neck stress fracture in my left hip and I've had to discontinue ALL activity and am now gimping around on crutches for the next four weeks. This totally sucks. :sad:

    Hopefully I'll be back for the December challenge, with much reduced mileage. Thanks for helping me keep motivated for the last three months with that wonderful spreadsheet!

    @ tajour -- ouch! So sorry you're hurt, but glad you know what is wrong and what you have to do. We'll see you in a couple months when you're better.

    @ runnerman47 -- wow! What a time for the Marine Corps Marathon. Way to go.

    @ jasondcooper - I was quoting Dinos who rode 17 miles LOL. Although my marathon training program does call for me to run 17 later this week. Holy cow - what have I gotten myself into? As to your winter goals, I say keep them high and force yourself to either hit the road or visit the Y. They're both good.

    I did 3 miles outside today and I have to say Sandy is the coldest hurricane I've ever experienced. Brrrr.... I was wet and cold at the end. We're locked down now so not sure when I'm going to do my last mile, but I will do it. Stay safe everyone!
