Dr. Oz is a joke.

Does anyone else notice how the topic of his show on one day completely contradicts his show on the next day? He just jumps from fad to fad. It is so frustrating to watch. The useful information that he actually conveys is lost in all the mumbo jumbo. I think I am going to break up with him and save that room on my DVR for something else.

Agreed, he is a joke. The guy annoys me.0

Nope, never noticed this.0

but dr oz says.....0

I think he's really a Muppet.
But that may be a slam against Muppets.0 -

It's pretty obvious he is paid to promte certain things.0

His input really hasn't been useful in at least a year... possibly longer. I remember when his topics were informational, research-based subjects. Now its all about which company pays him the most.0

My 87-year-old mother has purchased every diet supplement he has recommended (like raspberry ketone), even though she doesn't need it. I know, because every time he has some new diet product on his show, my mom calls and tells me to get it. She and my sister will try it for weeks with no results. I no longer listen to cnversations that start of, "Dr. Oz says..."0

Yes its gone downhill - when he started it was groundbreaking and addressed things you wanted to ask your doctor - but were reticent about. I hardly watch any more, its more like an infomercial - each day a new magic solution to losing weight.0

OMG! Don't make fun of Dr. Oz! The Raspberry Ketones helped me drop 425 lbs last week!

I think it is sad...when he first started out on Oprah I did find all his info pretty sound researched and helpful but since getting his own show I guess they have run out of 'real' facts to share and have just moved on to fads. He should quit to save his reputation. Another great mind bought and paid for by big business. :ohwell:0

Dr. Oz is right on everything. Oprah said so.0

I LIKE HIS GREEN DRINK.. I DO IT ALMOST EVERYDAY:)0

I think his answer would be because everyday the world "evolves" and I approach these things as if they are "new" and this would be his exact reason0

Totally right - I used to watch him when he gave out real insights and information- now its just a ratings grab0 -

his viewing audience wants "get-thin-quick-without-effort" stories and that's what he gives them so that his show doesn't get dropped from syndication.0 -
Yeah, I got to agree with you here. He promotes a lot of crap and get thin quick schemes a lot. It is really disappointing. It's obvious that he is a business man trying to make a dime, I bet he doesn't believe half the stuff he "sells".
Some of the things he talks about are legit, but the others...yikes.0 -
Lucky me; I don't watch T.V. so Dr. Oz isn't even on my radar. (but I have heard of him)0
-
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. I stopped watching along time ago because of it.. :laugh:0
-
He's been a total sellout for at least a year. Can't even watch anymore since it's such bad advice!!!0

it's amazing what some people will do for fame. by all accounts, until Oprah plucked him from obscurity, he was a very well regarded heart surgeon. he surely doesn't need the money from TV to live well (although syndicated TV money does put you in a completely different tax bracket), so it must be all about the fame. i've never in my life wanted to be famous. i don't get why some people want it so desperately.0 -
I just find it annoying how all of these ladies from the audience drool over him...really???0
-
He is funded by all those sponser's to promote what is hot at the current moment.
I am sure he does not believe in any of that ****. He is a cardiothoracic surgeon, his goal isn't to make people healthy but to keep himself making money. Oprah made a monster.0 -
total joke, which makes the actually useful medical information seem silly !0
-
Have you looked at his audience? Obviously the snake oil he promotes doesn't do much for weight loss!0
-
I Dr. Oz!!! Don`t hate don`t hate0
