Abs on women?

My abs are recently starting to come out, slowly. Ya definitely have to lose most body fat on stomach, which is hard to do for a woman. But I think it has a lot to do with genetics. Most guys prefer a lean stomach, IMO...but do what YOU think is ideal for yourself. Don't worry what others think. Good luck.0

Personally, I have to take my body fat way low to have a visible six-pack. I'm at 17% now and only have vertical ab lines (sides + middle)
I've had "the pack" before, but my body fat was about 12%. That's hard to maintain.0 -
No, just no....0

For me as a male, seeing a woman with defined abs is a turn-off. I am all for a flat tummy, but honestly when I am caressing your tummy and what not, I don't want to feel like I am feeling up on a dude. Also, seeing women all ripped makes me think they would smell/taste like dried leather...
As for the breast thing so many women are accusing men of, while mostly true (sadly), its not always the case. The bigger the better is not true. Thinking of the stretch marks, veins visible, etc. just makes me nauseous. Point being, I am more interested in the hips, gluts, and tummy more than breasts. Women with big breasts and no *kitten* or hips, no thank you. I would happily date a flat-chested women with a great personality and confidence over ol' Busty Gozangas any day.
So. full. of. fail. can't. express.0 -
Boobs are given by nature. Abs are earned. Abs should be more attractive damn it! And yes, I'm totally just saying that because I have small boobs.
Big boobs here and I agree.0 -
So I have a goal of having nice abs, like easily visible but not very cut. I've heard women will start to see abs at 18-19% body fat. Has this been true in your experience? I think I can see mine just barely, the line down the center is pretty visible, and if I turn to the side you can see a bump where the bottom of the top ab is, but not from straight on like in my ticker pic. Does this mean Im pretty close to that? Could I be like 1-2% away from seeing them easily? Also, just for curiosities sake, how many guys out there are into this? Thanks for the opinions!
As mentioned, % at which you will see abs will vary. As far as finding it attractive: I think it's admirable and while I would respect anyone for having that goal or reaching that goal, I don't find it attractive.0 -

Wow, so sorry about that post. My friend decided to add his own opinion on the matter when i went away. But, while not to his extent, I have to agree I don't find the abs attractive either.
So not only am I am being made fun of using a fitness site, I have to deal with him hi-jacking my account to post that. >.>0 -
It depends honestly. I got VERY lean and still couldn't see my abs, just a flat stomach. So body fat % number will be different based on your LBM
Yup. I've never been able to see my abs completely. I've been anywhere from 18%-22% and nothing. At 18%, I just had a flat stomach a little definition where my obliques are.0 -
What is the best way to measure body fat percentage? Thanks!0

Very generally speaking the more accurate they are, the more expensive or less convenient they are.
Autopsy would probably be the most accurate and least feasible
For practicality sake, I'd recommend using multiple methods and comparing results.

Dunk tank or BodPod.0 -
A woman can start showing abdominal definition at around 18 percent body fat (depending on her natural fat distribution), but not a six-pack. A six-pack can start showing at around 13 or 14 percent body fat. All based on LBM and genetics. I am a guy and mine start to pop at 15% and a six pack at about 11%, but a friend of mine has nothing till about 12% and six pack at approx 8%. So we are all different. Keep up the hard work and they will come.0

I'm at 19% right now and am noticing abs!0

This is my problem as well because you see men have skin, and when ever I touch a women with skin I think about men, turned out I was gay the whole time.0 -

LOL! You are awesome!! Thanks for the laugh0 -
I started noticing mine at around 19/20%
Today I am at 15%0 -
I am about 22% and have a hint of abs. I think it depends on the person though.0

It honestly varies with each as you can see. I'm currently at 14% BF and I only have the outline and the line down the middle and a faint hint of my top. My profile has pics of my abs at 17% and its not much different. I don't care bc I'm happy here and not looking for a 6 pack, or to maintain one. I just can't lean out there; I did a figure comp 10 yrs ago and was ripped and down to 12% and still only had a slight, tiny 4 pack. I don't lose there at all. But damn I sure gain there first and fast!0

Men have hairy, muscular skin, but yeah. That's a good one!
I think people shouldn't trip too hard when a person states that a particular physical attribute is not sexually attractive to them personally. Everyone has different tastes, and that's ok. :flowerforyou:0 -

Boner town!
That's funny. lmao0 -

Good post, Plates.
I gotta say, vis-a-vis boobs versus belly, guys are just into women's bodies. If you are nice to them, you take care of your appearance a little bit, and you have defined abs, they are probably into abs. If you are nice, take care, and have boobs, they are probably into boobs.
You cannot generalize. Nobody always and infallibly goes for only one physical type. It is gonna depend.
Sorry. You were making us sound like idiots. We may be simple. But we're not idiots.0 -
I'm working on my abs too!0
