how much exercise do you do?
as long as you are fuelling the exercise it is quite hard to have too much, though you should have at least 1 day per week of rest.0 -

"How much" needs to also include "how intense"
You could exercise every day if one day is heavy weights, one day is walking, one day is intense intervals, one day is riding bikes with your kids, and so on.
There is such a thing as overtraining, but it's best thought of as "under recovering." It's when you repeatedly do intense workouts and your body has not fully rested, repaired, refueled, and rehydrated from the last workout. The most obvious indicator is that you keep training harder but your performance keeps getting worse.0 -
so some details about me - i am 125 pounds, 5'3 tall. i eat healthy, don't ever starve myself, give myself the occasional treat. Eat about 1800-1900 calories. I workout for a minimum of 60 minutes per day. My week looks like this -
Monday - recovery yoga/pilates
Tuesday - 1 hour Body combat
Wednesday - 45 min spinning + 15 minutes abs (sometimes if i haven't reached 600 calories of goal calorie expenditure i run till i reach that)
Thursday - 45-60 min circuit
Friday - 45 min body attack
Saturday - 60 minutes step + 60 minutes body pump
Sunday - 30 minute circuit + 15 minute any cardio running or bike or wave machine
I always eat back my calories lost.
Any thoughts and advice would be great.
Oh and I have lost 15 pounds since August this year0 -

its only my opinion, but i would say you dont need step and body pump on one day, and you should keep the recovery yoga but have one day of actual REST where you do no exercise.0
