METABOLISM RESET.

PLANNING FOR A METABOLISM RESET .... ANYBODY ANY SUGGESTION AS TO HOW TO DO IT......I am eating 1300 calories as of now and my TDEE say to 2300 calories (moderate exercise--- since i workout for 6 days both combined cardio and strength training)... should i suddenly increase my calories or increase gradully 200 calories week after week

Reset? you mean increase?.. theres a lot of things you can use to increase metabolism.

i have 6 meals a day ... my weight has been on a plateau for almost 6 months and thought of increasing my calories for boosting my metabolism ,,, since i was on a ver low calorie of less than 1200 for almost a year and 2 months back increased it to 1300 ... but i am planning to increase it more ... have been doing 30 minutes cardio with 45minutes strength training every day
do not know how to increase and how to do proper exercise?
you should consider increasing indeed, try something like 1700 but try increasing mostly proteins and fat if you can (i.e. no extra granola bars, it wont do a lot of good but will increase cravings for sugar)0 -

Changing to large meals at the same calorie level did nothing for me for weight loss. I'm actually doing IF right now, meaning I eat very large meals on windows of time and don't eat for the rest of the day. Although really my experiment with this is new (6 days now I think?) there is evidence indicating benefits to some people who choose to do this. Many people I know do this and love it.
Drinking green tea did nothing noticeable for me for weight loss. I've tried it, I've tried without it.
Caffeine did nothing noticeable for me for weight loss. I've tried with it, I've tried without it.
Fish oil has done nothing for me for weght loss. I've tried with it (because I was given the pills and figured I may as well take them) and I've tried without it. However, if you are malnourished or have a poor diet lacking the type of fat that are in these capsules (omega 3 fatty acids) perhaps you should take them.
I've done with and without cayenne for a long time, I've seen no change my my weight loss.
I've tried a concoction with ACV which was a 'health remedy' my nan pushed on everyone to try. It wasn't for weight loss purposes, it had no affect on my weight loss.
I very often participate in the 'harder workout'. I still do. Just to push myself to the limit. Not for weight loss purposes. Sometimes I do hikes that are up to 20km long that consist of very steep inclines. Doing this sometimes hinders weight loss. There's such a thing of pushing yourself to far, and water weight is also involved since you'll be carrying extra glycogen around since your body needs it if you are fueling it enough. It can also hinder your weight loss if you don't fuel your body properly and end up getting easily injured because you're not getting enough fuel. Though I highly recommend exercising regularly, pushing yourself to exhaustion isn't necessary and does little to make the pounds fall off. Though I admire thoughs that can outdo everyone, and sometimes try to out do myself just for the sake of pushing boundries.
Figuring out the average persons estimated TDEE and eating at a moderate deficit to that has probably done the most help to me lose weight. Trying to get proper nutrition (a bit of everything), fueling my body, and exercising regularly. Sitting on the couch popping cayenne and fish fat pills isn't going to make a lick of difference unless your body is suffering because the nutrients in those are lacking in your diet. Cayenne and other hot peppers are arguably used in 'fat burning' pills. As far as I know this is because of the effects it has on thermogenesis (heat dissipation in organisms). Notice I said arguably. By that argument if instead of moving around we could all move to Florida and watch the fat fall of us. You can ask all the obese people in Florida how that's working for them. There's a lot of them.
The only thing that I've seen work on plateaus is when the person temporarily does a reset. This is where they figure out what their TDEE is, and eat at that for around 6 weeks until they figure out the point where they stop gaining weight (if they're still losing weight they go up). Then they do a moderate cut from there. I haven't seen it fail yet.0 -

I agree with everything else you said but this. Because it didn't work for me. Not a bit. And I did a 4-month reset.
And, no, the only time I've eaten VLC was for about a month when I first started at MFP and didn't realize you were supposed to eat back your exercise calories. And then I was a bit lower calorie for another month or so until I realized that it's best to never net below BMR so I used several different calculators to figure my BMR, used the highest number, added about 50 calories to it, and began using that for my new net. I lost very slowly, like 1-2# per month, at all of those calorie levels. It didn't appear to make a different to my weight loss...and, yes, I know that doesn't make sense. So after some months of slow weight loss at BMR net levels, I figured I'd try a reset.
So I figured my TDEE did a reset for about 4 months (might be shy a week), proceeded to regain about 15#, did a 15% cut, lost nothing for a month, and got frustrated because I was sick of all my clothes being tight. Am back to netting roughly my BMR and am slowly losing again at the same 1-2# I was losing at previously.
And, yes, I lift heavy three times/week as recommended by all the eat more gals.
Oh, and the first 45# I lost were over a several year period by just eating a bit smaller portions and things like putting a few potato chips in a bowl and only eating what was in the bowl, not the whole bag, or only eating a small bowl of ice cream instead of a huge bowl, etc. Eating diaries I kept from that time average out to me eating about 1600 calories/day over an average month so, no, not starving myself. No, I didn't eat exercise calories but during that time, I rarely exercised. Maybe 3-4 slow strolls with my dog a week at the pace of about 1.5-2 miles per hour but hardly anything you'd call exercising so I don't think it would have really made that much difference in my net.
Just adding all this other info because I expect those are the types of things you'd question.0 -

i have been adviced by someone tht supposemy BMR is 1450 i have to increase one day my calories to 1900 just for a day and then back to 1450 for a week and continue like tht .... is tht useful or eating my TDEE till i stop loosing weight and then cutting 15% from it will work0 -

intermittent fasting got me past a plateau in my weight loss, i don't ingest any calories between 8 p.m. & noon. This has me working for several hours a day on an empty stomach & on the weekends doing my cardio on empty as well. This burns energy from stored fat rather than ingested food. It took me a little while to get used to since i was doing the 6-8 small meals a day , but since adapting , it's become a normal way of eating for me. I typically eat a large lunch & large dinner & occasionally a small snack in between . It may not be for everyone, but is what has given me the best results.0

I upped my calories from 1200 to 1600 last week, which is about 20-25% cut from my TDEE (some days I eat back all the exercise calories too)
I suggest you eat at Maintenance for 4 weeks...if you've been eating less than your bmr for a long time. Still exercise during this time though.0
