Bro,
How much are you doing?
Heavy squatting is the most dangerous exercise in the gym. In many cases, you may need up to 3 spotters assisting.
Have you tried the "Smith Machine"? These racks are the most functional for safely developing strength and size in your thighs.
If you are doing deep squats and having a spotter right in back of you.... lets just say that it is very dangerous and you have more to worry about than being fondled.
Maybe if you are in a competition, squatting an incredible weight you've never done before and have just as much chance of failing on. Yes, then it would be a good idea to have 3 spotters. Most people will not train at such a weight though, even while going "heavy". 1 spotter and the safety bars should be sufficient. Most of the time I myself don't even have a spotter at all, unless I'm going for a 1RM. I squat heavy but never go to failure, it just feels too uncomfortable and my form goes to ****. My spotter is mainly there for peace of mind.
I would never recommend the smith machine myself, just sayin'. It's very restrictive on your range of motion for one thing.0 -

And now I'm left knowing if what I did was really "all me"....
Man it's hard to find a good spotter at my gym...0 -

It makes you wonder............which one is enjoying it more?0 -
I'm 5'10" 220 and did 2x5 at 455 and 1x3 at 475. Pushing myself to the MAX of what I can do, I can probably do 3x5 at 475 or a little more.
Yeah, the 3 spotter suggestion is spot on, I had 3 guys on the 475 set.
I was just starting something funny though, my spotter actually did a pretty job which is why I could feel him back there.0 -

Does he even lift?0 -
I don't get it. Squat rack means you don't need a spotter.0

The best hand placement for spotting on squats is on the chest, on a woman it is not cool, so directly under the breasts is the best place. Either quit squatting, or get over it...0
