On days that I eat a lot during the day, I will have an eggwhite omellette loaded with veggies and either a piece of fat free cheese in it or one piece of wheat bread. I've had days where I've eaten it for breakfast and then again at dinner!

    Yup!

Nothing wrong with maintenance every once in a while :)
I think that would be better than basically skipping dinner

Veggie stir fry.... Only veggies, garlic and soy sauce. It's a staple for me!

If you can't get in much exercise around naptime, a bowl of Cheerios with almond milk would come in around 125. Don't beat yourself up too much though. It happens.

The last time this happened, I took the dog on a long-long-looooooooooong walk. Then I had 350-some odd extra calories!

I agree with eating your maintenance cal today or go for a run. Pop in a workout DVD. Or just have dinner, call it a day, and try to do better tomorrow. I try not to beat myself up if I go over once in a while. Just makes me miserable. Instead I make an effort to do better the next day.

When I eat dinner and I'm still hungry but don't want to go over on my calories I will make a bowl of salad with 1 tbsp lite italian dressing. It's nearly no calories and will fill me up. I also find that if I go for a walk or a job it'll help up those calories.

If neither of those help then just eat smart even if you do go over your goal. Tomorrow is a new day! It's food. Not life or death. :)

Grilled Fish and some salad ;)

If you go over a little bit blink a few more times and move on, eat a little less tomorrow - I do it all the time. Average your calories over the week - it makes life much easier.

whatever you do, just eat! Don't skip dinner just cuz you had a big lunch. You should probably eat a light dinner, but don't worry about going over your cals every now and then. If you skip dinner, you may end up binging later if you get real hungry, then you'll be worse off than if you have a light healthy dinner that puts you over.

Blink a few more times.... Lol. If only that would work I'd bat my eyelashes all day long!
  • Not sure about the popcorn and cheese. Popcorn is a ton of wasted calories and cheese is high in fat and calories.
  • If you can get some cardio exercise in today you can add those calories to your meal. Otherwise I like to eat a can of solid white albacore tuna. Very high in protien for the calories.

If you can't get a workout in, I'd do as a previous poster said: egg white omlette with TONS of vegetables, no butter or oil. It's actually pretty filling!

agree exercise and burn some extra calories or if that isn't an option, maybe a salad filled with green stuff cucumbers. radishes, peppers etc Lemon juice as a spritzer.
  • never skip meals... it does no good to your metabolism....

    eat something light...

for example cut a piece of fruit in 4 tablespoons of light yoghurt and adding 1 tablespoon of bran flakes... I find it filling and not overpacked with calories...

don't feel bad about cheating once in a while as long as it does not become a habit...

    tomorrow is another day! :))
