Hello, I am trying to go 14 days without late night snacking (except if it is within my calories for the day). I am the queen of doing great all day and working out and then at night all bets are off! I am trying to go 14 days, I think if I can make it that long I can quit forever.
Wish me luck!!! Today is only day 2 LOL!

I had that same problem too!!!

I used to get home from the gym... have a healthy dinner around 7pm... and then by 9pm I was eating chips, peanuts, drinking coke and indulging in chocolates!!!!

Here are some tips to combat this:

    1. Eat a healthy dinner! Eat SLOWLY, enjoying every mouthful. Then leave the kitchen and do something i.e. have a shower, do some house chores, read a magazine, call a friend etc

    2. When you are tempted to snack, drink a large glass of water then thoroughly brush and floss your teeth. You wont feel like eating after you've brushed and flossed.

    3. Do something productive i.e. organise your clothes/clean/sew up old buttons etc. Just stay out of the kitchen/food area!

    4. Write down some reasons why you want to lose weight and be healthy. Put these reasons on the fridge.

    5. Tell everyone in the house that you are adopting a healthy lifestyle. It will be embarrasing if they catch you eating junk food so this will help you to stay away from the pantry!

    6. Have a personal 'weigh in challenge' every night at a certain time (or just before bed). Record how much you weigh every night and try to weigh less every night by "x" amount of grams! I know this may seem obsessive but it will motivate you to not eat after dinner time!

    Good luck :)

I'll make this my day one also!
It is going to be so hard, because I usually eat dinner around 7, and workout at 8, and then I am usually so hungry! So, if I have some calories left, it's ok, right?

I made some AWESOME hummus today, so, maybe I will have that and broccoli and red pepper strips :)

You should be eating w/in a half hour of finishing a workout, so make sure you set aside enough cals for a snack.

Really? I am still new to this whole thing. I also heard that you aren't supposed to work out at night. But, that is when I have the most time. But, usually, I can only get in a 30 minute workout (I usually jog on the treadmill and then stationary bike for 10 min) (I know, not much !) so, by 830 I'm done, I usually eat a snack by like 10... I'm assuming that's a bad thing? lol
