Don't drink protien shakes have REAL Food

So I was listening to all the great advice on this site the last few days and realized I have been doing this weigh-loss thing all wrong. I had been having about 1 or two whey protein shakes a day. So what I did this morning instead of having my normal shake. I grilled chicken cut it up in about 1 inch cubes then blended it with water. Everyone was right this is way better than a protein shake!

Welcome!

    Sounds nasty. lol
My protein shakes are tasty. I don't know if thats what you by "better", I use the Whey protein from Walmart with a banana, peanut butter 1% milk and ice to make it like a milk shake. It's around 500 calories, depending on how much peanut butter I put in it. If I don't have many calories left, I skip putting the peanut butter and banana in it.
There is nothing wrong with having protein shakes as meal replacements anyway as long as you are hitting the macros you want to hit.

Nope. I was told to eat real food. Currently grilling pork loin for my "milk pork loin" post workout shake.

    No.

I like protein shakes. I make 'em with almond milk and lots of ice so they're as thick as a fast-food milkshake. They satisfy my 'ice cream addict' and 'chocolate addict' cravings with just rice protein, almond milk and a little cocoa powder or some berries (or both - chocolate/blueberry = awesome).

But glad you liked your chicken.

Why not just eat your cut up chicken?? Why blend it with water to drink?

Because we tried blending it with milk and the proteins cancelled each other out. Jeez. Don't you do any research?

OP - why did you bother grilling it first? just cube, throw in the blender with almond milk, peanut butter, and lemon juice. Keep it chunky for a special treat.

I saw in another thread how you shouldn't mix your proteins with sugar. Their trainer told them so it must be true. So no milk pork loin for you. So sad.

This is correct. That's why I eat tuna almost everynight in bed.

Be sure to freeze your smoothie, because the ice will burn more calories through internal melting.
