I am 23 years old and overweight. I want to lose about 30-40 pounds! Hoping myfitnesspal will help me out. I have been on and off weight watchers a couple times where I have both lost and gained but sick of spending money on these dieting programs. I am In need of some motivation. I plan on working out at the gym 3 times a week for about 45 mins to an hour. Also cutting back on eating out and eating junk food. I really want to do this so that I feel better about myself and so I am healthier!

    Welcome....I just finished my first week and lost 5 pounds. First week, so water weight loss I am sure, but committed to losing 30 pounds.....like to lose 2 lbs/week, so it will take a while! Keep with it.....log your food...it isn't as hard as you think it will be once you really make up your mind to do it!
