    On the list so far are:

    Resolution Run 5k (always do this one, the jackets are aces!)
    Hypothermic Half in January
    The Spartan Tri-fecta (sprint, super and beast)
    Olympic distance triathlon
    Army Run half (do this one every year too!)

    Also on there is my third marathon (I am trying to do one ever year- this year I'm thinking East coast!)

    and as always, am working on running the distance from Ottawa to Marathon Greece on the journey to run the Athens Marathon in 2017, almost 1500km down - I think in real distance I'd be somewhere over the Atlantic ocean!

    Not really an event, just life. My 7 year old daughter has cerebral palsy and can not stand. Getting her into her wheelchair and the bath tub was becoming a struggle for me. I have shifted my focus much more heavily toward strength training, so I can continue to care for her properly.

    Puts things in focus.

    I am currently still training for 5ks (I am trying to get better timing then 35 minutes) and am in the process of training for a 10k, and am hoping next year or the year after to do a half marathon and in 2014 to do tough mudder.

    My black strip exam in Tae Kwon Do. I have two other black belts but this exam is much harder, I'm older and TKD is very different from Karate.

    A lot of work to get to that level, especially as I don't really like running and I suck at swimming (but hey, that's what makes it a challenge.)

    My first race is a 5 miler on Thanksgiving then I have a 5K on New Year's Day. My big target is next May and the Dam to Dam 20K. It is the biggest and best road race in Iowa. If all goes well in that I'll be looking at a marathon next fall.
