When the light shines through the glass "pretties" in my kitchen window every late afternoon, and it makes rainbows on my floors and counters. I stand in the rainbows and pretend that I am a fairy or something.
Those white fluffy dandelions that you make a wish while blowing. I will never be able to pass by a patch without picking at least a couple and blowing them.
My hubby and I have a particular star in the sky that we have designated as "our" star. Last night we went for a walk around midnight, and our star was shining brightly.
The smell of crayons, playdough, and glue. May my house never be without those things.
Those old formica and chrome dinette sets from the 1950s. They remind me of when I would spend the night with my Mammy as a kid, and she would make me waffles and a cup of coffee with lots of milk and sugar.
And definitely the smell of a wood fire. Even better...cornbread, pinto beans with bacon, and cabbage cooked on one of those old wood cookstoves! Have y'all ever had such a thing?0 -
