Hoping this will work for me!

Hi! Today was my first day! I'm hoping this is just what I need. I'm a 36 year old mom with three kids. I have that famous "10 pounds" I am more than ready to lose. I have weighed the same give or take one or two pounds for about three years. It seems like whether I eat what I want and don't workout or watch what I eat and walk, I don't see much difference. Is there anyone out there going through the same thing?

It will feel like that at first, but don't give up! Many people give up because they expect the loss to happen quickly, but you didn't put that weight on overnight so you can't expect it to drop off just like that. MFP is a really useful tool, as long as you are 100% honest with yourself it will tell you how much you put in your body vs how much you burn.
If you do it right and burn more calories than you eat, it's pretty impossible not to lose weight. Just be patient, eat the right foods and find ways other than the scale to mark your progress, like taking measurement. You will get there :flowerforyou:0 -
Thank you for the encouragement! Wow, you look like you are doing great from your picture- way to go!! I'm getting really excited and hopeing the holidays won't totally get me off track! Will power!0
