so, they say once you put things out in the open it is harder to go back on your word....so i'm making a public promise that my health is going to be a priority! I've had an eating disorder for 12 years and I would say I'm a functioning alcoholic, but this time I'm really DONE WITH IT!
I've cleaned my cabinets, removed the alcohol and prepared a few days of delicious, whole food meals and started taking spirulina and hemp seeds. I feel like a different person, and one that just might be able to do it this time. If any of you are on a similar path, or working towards a more holistic type diet, please feel free to add me!
I've spent a lot of time on this site with the wrong type of friends, so I'm only interested in those of you who with a healthy lifestyle (or trying to go in that direction). I'd love to hear all of your thoughts and suggestions...and recipes of course!
nice meeting you

Well let me tell ya, I was in your boat. I stopped drinking on a daily basis and perhaps buy a bottle a wine every one to two months. That is it! Since I cut out the alcohol now I have a hard time keeping weight on. Never realized how much alcohol was holding me back. I was a real big fan of the "fourth meal" after drinking a 6 pack or more a night. My body feels so much better now that I don't drink. I actually deal with things and do activities without a beer in my hand when before I felt you should always have a beer in your hand. Life is so much better and I am about 30 pounds lighter than my normal self on alcohol. You can do it!!!!0

Wonderful post. I wish you the best of luck. Decide what you want from friends - as in what they do themselves that will help/encourage you. I'm aiming for healthy eating (lots of food
) and lots of exercise and a positive attitude to my thyroid issues. If thats of benefit then do add me.
