  • Definitely a gaming nerd here. Love Syfy also. Physics and especially Quantum Physics are very fascinating to me.

    I'm with you here. Learning about plants alone is exhausting, but I've lost more than a few nights on Wikipedia researching plant families. Also, animals - omg! My new favorite one that I learned about is called the momonga, it's adorable!

    I can also spend hours at the supplement store learning about everything different plants do.

    All the different things plants do is sooo cool. I used to work at an herb store! I was (and still am) oh so nerdy!

    •Discovery Networks channel (History, Science, NatGeo, etc.) shows
    •SciFi (especially Star Trek, all 5 series)
    •comic books (mainly Marvel, but also DC, Image, etc.)
    •old school video games (Atari thru 90's PC, thru 2000's coin-op); MAME, anyone?
    •too much other to detail here

    ***Edit to add that I've seen every ep of "The Big Bang Theory" and understand at least 90% of the physics spoken there. Higgs-Boson particles, anyone?

    Hardcore number-crunching gaming nerd (Think "Minus 50 DKP").
    Book nerd (non-fiction mostly!)
    Anime nerd
    Biology nerd
    Computer nerd (building, modding, fixing, etc)
    Programming nerd (Python)

    I am always looking to friend more math nerds to answer my endless math questions as I try to become one myself.

    I'm a mechanical engineer! My favorite class in college was Control Systems Design and Analysis!!!

    When my children ask me outlandish questions about the world, I give them the answer, including the physics behind it, which usually results in both of them yawning loudly and looking away. N3RD5 UN1T3!!
