Big Ladies with Rolls and losing weight...

Hey ladies! I have gone from 270 to my current 228 and i can see a big difference in my rolls!! They are definitely still there cuz i still have a ways to go but they are shrinking for sure, my lower belly has gone done the most, doesnt stick out anymore like it used to. I will say though when i lost the 42lbs, even when i took pics i didnt see a big difference, i could tell they came in but they where still looking the same. About 3 months ago i started eating at a 20% decrease from my tdee, have not lost a pound, but lost a bunch of inches and went down to a size 14 in my pants. I started weight training 3 days a week, cardio 3 days. For not losing a single pound, my whole body is reshaping, it is crazy. I have gotten more compliments the last month then ever and now i see a big difference in my pics. I have seen a huge difference in the back rolls and the middle of my stomach is where the most is, the sides have slimmed out alot and the roll is barely there on the sides. They will definitely go down but i highly suggest lifting weights if you are not doing so and making sure you are fueling your body properly. It has made a world of difference for me! Hope this helps ladies!!
I agree. I have about 60 pounds left to lose and the only thing that is helping me to lose the rolls and firm up the flab is lifting heavy. I mean real weights. It is (as Bella said) reshaping my body. It is getting rid of the saggy skin as I lose. It's awesome. Plus a side benefit? I am getting SO STRONG! I feel like I can do anything. I'm 54 and if I can do this so can you! Try it. Start out with strength training (google nerd fitness - that's where I started) and start picking things up! I am doing Stronglifts 5X5 now - also a program you can google. Good luck!0 -
LOL yes the rolls do go(not that you notice)! :noway: they ALL shrink slowly and then all of a sudden you notice one has gone! lol
and then another! and so on i had 3 huge tyres to start with but just have the one small tyre(overhang)! now so hopefully soon he will disappear with all the rest!
good luck and keep up the great work x0 -
I'm not sure if they ever completely go away. As a life long yo-you dieter, I went on a liquid diet about 22 years ago and lost 80-something pounds (i have found and lost those pounds multiple times since)...even at 138 lbs and a size 7, i still had that bottom belly roll, and that was before I had kids...my rolls shrink and grow with my weight loss/gain, but they've never gone away.0

I am commenting on this so I can find it easier later, I don't have time now to read all the comments. I would like to know as well. I can't find my waistline at the moment as it too is hidden between rolls.0

I still have some, one under my bra in the back , one under my bust and the lower tummy pooch. It wasnt until I had gotten to about 170s that I really saw they had dramatically reduced in size.0 -
I could feel a noticeable difference in my back. My stomach on the other hand seems impossible...unless I just haven't noticed a difference yet because that's the area where I have the most to lose. I never take "before" pics though. I don't want to know lol the scale and how i look and feel tells me enough!0

I've had people tell me to take full body before and progress pics... Just can't do that, yet.0 -
I've noticed mine are less prominent. I only really get them slightly when I sit down now. Before it was almost all the time >_>
Keep going and you'll see changes0 -

I am one of those blessed with rolls but i was told that once you lose the weight you should start toning up and they will go I was told that you should not lose weight and tone up at the same time becasue it will take you longer as muscles are the harders to tone, so they will go and you will see the sunshine......0

Respectfully, I disagree. I started about 60 pounds ago and the more I lose, the better my body looks. I am losing the rolls and underneath? It's already getting shaped. If you wait until you lose all the weight, you may be left with a lot of loose skin. Besides, the more muscles you work - the stronger you get - the more calories you burn - endless wonderful cycle. I'm not sure what you mean by "take you longer as muscles are harder to tone".0 -
30 day shred is a good way to help you tone up. I have seen my rolls get smaller since doing it. I also do many other things. I have gone from a tight 22 to a perfect fitting 18. You will get there just give it time.0
