I'm kind of a yo-yo dieter. One week I'm super into my diet&fitness, the next week I'm all "I don't care about my size I love food". Despite the constant on and off dieting, I'm constantly 136lbs. Is the good making up for the bad and vise versa? Or is my scale playing with me? Or is my body just very happy at 136?

Also want to point out that up until a couple months ago I was one of the most sedentary people I know. Now I'm in the gym 3-5 times/week doing mostly cardio. So you would thing that alone would have me lose a few.

I'm going to start measuring inches because I really do FEEL a bit slimmer, but still, is this happening to anyone else??

Not exactly, but I maintain on a similar eating pattern. I eat less during the week and eat a lot more calories on the weekend. I did this while losing and maintaining though. I don't ever say "I don't care about my weight though". My life just works better eating more on the weekends because during the week I'm at work all day, and with a desk job I just don't get that hungry or burn many calories. And we rarely eat out except on weekends and I'm more active when I'm not working.

I went through the same thing last spring when I decided to get in shape and drop some weight. But, nothing happened. I was exercising, but the scales would not budge. MFP has made a huge difference for me! When I started really watching what I ate and my portions, the weight came off.

I hear ya, some weeks are better than others but generally I'm very good during my work week and once the weekend comes and I'm with my boyfriend I tend to be more careless. Never out of control but, not as dedicated as my work week. And still, always 136.

when you get THAT close to goal, BMI almost doesn't matter. Have you done your body fat calculations? If you have lower body fat, it might be muscle making you "overweight" by BMI standards...

No but I have been meaning to do that, I have a wider frame than most girls (Its probably medium-large) and my legs are more muscular than fat. Good point thanks I'll look into that!
