Running - officially bad for me

Doing my "usual" 11 miles last night, feeling strong and relaxed after the first 4 until...
...stepped out onto the road to pass a walking couple and totally misjudged my step, landed on the kerb and went over my ankle :-(
Realised the road was not the best place to land so managed to push myself back towards the pavement, a neatly executed crash landing at the feet of the couple who thought the sky was falling down!
A 4 mile shortcut home, swollen ankle and the surprise/concern/laughter of the couple ringing in my ears!
Running? Good for me? Ha!

That, right there, is my biggest fear while running. My condolences. I hope your ankle isn't hurt too badly... as least not as badly as your pride.0
