Stretch Marks

I've always had stretch marks all my life so they are really old and now that I finally decided to get in shape I want them to fade. I know its almost impossible to get rid of them completely but at least a fade would be nice.
I heard when you lose weight they fade just that way too, is that true?
If not, any products or moisturizers that work to fade old stretch marks, I'm glad I don't have a lot its just mostly around my hip and thigh area.
I heard Bio Oil works really well while still a lot of people say it does nothing. So I'm not sure. Any tips will be great, oh and please dont recommend something too expensive and ridiculous. Thank you.

When I have lost weight in the past , the stretch marks have been visible. I have heard about Bio oil. I did use Palmer cocoa butter during my pregnancies. I have decided to use moisturizing lotion daily. I do know that the marks can become less visible.
I actually had a friend post yesterday that the stretch marks are stripes we have earned. I know that some of my thinner friends tan to get the marks to blend in more. Good luck.0 -
Mine seem to be MORE visible now that I've lost weight. Same with my hubby (who is down 145lbs). I guess it all depends on the body0
