I don't really think I'll lose 5 pounds in December because it's the holiday's and my TDEE is lower because of break. Also if I begin strength training I think the muscles hold onto more water weight. But I would be happy with any loss and I love using these threads to keep track of how I'm doing from month to month. I'm now in a healthy BMI and all the pounds I have left to lose I guess are vanity pounds? lol. I have a thin bone structure so I know I would look better at a lower weight.
Just for fun: I wish I could give my dad a way to get out of his depression0 -
I typically start it a few days before month's end, but I think I was in denial that December was actually here!0

If i could give one gift this Christmas, it would be to tell my husband that he can walk away from his job situation so his rare heart condition won't act up as much anymore (he has neurocardiogenic syncope).0 -

Just for fun: Given that this is the season of giving, what is one thing you wish you could give to someone that would change their life? Three months of my personal trainer to a gal at the gym who has been working SO hard but has a very long way to go!
NavyKnight - we are at the same weight loss number! Love the gift you would give your husband. It took a few years, but I was able to do something similar for my husband quite a few years ago - not for heart issues, but for stress and anxiety problems. It was so worth it.0 -

I know its supposed to be only 5, but my goal is 2lb/wk and I think I can do that safely since I'm still considered pretty overweight, and I'm meeting my calorie/exercise goals everyday!
Also, if I could give anyone anything this holiday season, I would give my son my love and time, since I wasn't able to be around for him last year at this time. I plan on cherishing every second!0 -

Answer-a 6-month all-expense paid to the Biggest Loser ranch WITHOUT the stress of wondering what's happening at home...if the bills are paid...if the family is OK if they did not want to come...etc.0 -

Total weight lost- 49.5 lbs. I doubt I could pull off a 5 pound loss, as I've been at this point now for over a year, mostly due to laziness and back and forth fluctation.. My biggest goal is to get below 143.5, which has been my lowest..
If I could give someone something for Christmas I would give the gift of confidence, as I know I tend to lack it, and I think many people, esp on this weight loss journey lose that along the way.0 -
