Trying to conceive

Hi everyone, probably a silly question but here goes. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about a year now. I'm paranoid about doing things that will cause me to not conceive. Here's my question, can I exercise normally during this time? For example normal for me is jogging (started last summer and really like it) and high impact aerobics. I do have an appointment with my doctor soon but in the meantime I thought I'd get some input here. Thanks!!:flowerforyou:

Right before I found out I was preggers with my little boy (he turned two months today!) I was going to the gym almost everyday.
My husband and I were working on our fitness and instead found out we were becoming parents! Lol.

You can do everything normally. It's just not a good idea to start exercising once you are pregnant if you weren't doing it before. I would check out www.thebump.com it has a lot of good info and can answer a lot of questions for you. Good luck!0

My doctor said that exercise is good for fertility. She recommended at least 30 minutes 5 times a week.0

My wife and I battled infertility for several years before we were able to conceive and we are now the proud parents of a little boy who turns 7 in a few months...exercise and fitness play a big role in your overall plans to conceive, and depending on where you are in your journey with weight loss, it can have positive or sometimes negative (extremely low percentage of body fat in women is a sure-fire way to lower ovulation success) effects...definitely work with your physician, and depending on your age, you may want to consider a referral to a fertility specialist just to make sure you cover all your bases...our son was our miracle, and we have never had further success despite years of treatment and testing...now that my wife is in her late 30's and I am over 40, we have resigned ourselves to the fact that our son will be an only child, and we count our blessings for him daily...we waited too long to seek help, and make a point of encouraging prospective parents to start sooner rather than later if you are worried about the reasons you aren't getting pregnant...good luck!0
