i did this one year, i cooked a prime rib then let it rest, but i let it rest on the stove and it just cooked it to death.. it was an expensive piece of meat too, well marbled, dry aged.. beautiful, and i just screwed it right up...

one year for thanksgiving, my mil and her sister took the turkey out of the fridge, then let it sit on the counter for 8 hours, in a hot house. everyone by my husband and i got sick that year... (we didnt eat it)

    Undercooked rice or pasta
    Overcooked rice or pasta
    Glue-y mashed potatoes
    Burnt popcorn
    Burnt bacon
    Dry cheesecake
    Runny jello

    Double dipping
    Not washing hands
Not using cutting boards properly

Sitting a purse, backpack, messenger bag, etc on a kitchen counter! Ugh! :grumble: Think about the germs on the bottoms of those things. My mom would always plop hers on my counter every time she would come to visit. After me always moving it, she finally got the hint.

"Just scrape the mold off!" <---Happened in a kitchen I used to work at.

Also, "If it smells fine, serve it!" "If it falls on the floor, pick it up!" "If it's too old to serve make a soup of the day out of it!" "Don't bother cleaning, I know the health inspector!"

I did not work there very long.

    Green beans cooked to mush.

    JM

Overcooking ANY veggie until it's total mush is a mortal sin in my book.

Yup, drenching it in bbq sauce does not mean it's barbecued.
  • The McRib!! Has anyone ever ate one? I worked at McDonald's when I was 16 and I couldn't understand why people liked them!!

Burnt food, undercooked food, anything that is covered in so much sauce it's slop that cant even be recognized as food (like over sauced pasta for example, yuck)

The lobster I had on Saturday night. It was so overcooked and rubbery, it required a steak knife to eat.
