I'm not such a big fan of meat but I enjoy greek yogurt. I've been thinking about trying protein powders but I am an extremely picky eater and if it doesn't take good, I won't drink it...lol. do you know any that taste fairly well? have you tried muscle milk?

Go with a high brand name protein powder like Optimum Nutrition, Pure protein or Gaspari Nutrition. They are done in clean facilities and contain little to no metals and arsenic. Plus they use little to no fillers.
In an article by consumer reports 3 serving a day of Muscle Milk contained more metals and arsenics than the FDA recommends.
    Be careful
  • If you're picky, you probably won't like Muscle Milk. It's a little "chalky." Bolthouse Farms has some great tasting protein drinks (vanilla chai is my favorite). You find them either in the produce section or the refrigerated juice section of most grocers.

haha...noted. but I'm not a big fan of meat though.
  • Chick peas (known as Garbanzo beans) loaded with protein and not the fat that some meats have.

Quinoa-though it is a pasta of sorts it has 6 grams of protein per cup and does not have the bad rap that pasta does. In contemporary times, quinoa has become highly appreciated for its nutritional value, as its protein content is very high (14% by mass), yet not as high as most beans and legumes. Nutritional evaluations of quinoa indicate that it is a source of complete protein, it is a good source of dietary fiber and phosphorus and is high in magnesium and iron. Quinoa is also a source of calcium, and thus is useful for vegans and those who are lactose intolerant it's gluten-free.

nearly everything has protein. lentils are best because you can buy them in bulk dry and they cook fast, and you can add them to anything. brown rice is good too.

You're suggesting the OP consume Matt Smith's nasal discharge? I imagine that would have *some* protein in it... :-D

I've seen quinoa been mentioned a lot as being really healthy? what does it taste like though? I've heard it's similar to couscous but I've never had that either so...lol
