Oh and of course anyone can diet in any way they want. But does it make it healthy and one that will allow you to keep the weight off because one has learned to live in a way that doesn't require frequent binging on junk food daily. How do you think this weight was achieved that you both are having to lose?
Actually, the fat is more likely to stay off if you choose a lifestyle that works for you. So, if this is what works for Wendy, then it's what's going to stick for her. If she tried your way of doing things, it wouldn't stick so she'd end up back where she began. If you tried her path, you'd obviously **** it up and end up fat, so stick to what you're doing.
That's why people choose their own path. Because it's what works for them. Being a patronizing know-it-all isn't going to change that basic fact.0 -
As in terms of success? I'm a Gaspari UK athlete ( http://www.gasparinutrition.co.uk/team-gaspari/uk-athletes/matt-wild/ ) and everyone I've coached bar one has made the British finals of the federation they compete in.Please do not lecture me about healthy eating and you knowing - I've never been near a 40" waist in my life and I'm a 18-19 stone body builder. My profile picture is me. All my pictures are me. I understand the running's of human biology, and have a partner who is psychologist as well who deals with the mental sides that you are experiencing relating to food.
Junk, is junk.
I don't think everyone's goal is to be a bodybuilder with the least amount of body fat they can. Some people just want to find the balance and learn how to maintain a healthy weight range. Your accomplishments are great, but don't put them on others.

Actually it was thanks. Feel free to start throwing insults, it is water off a ducks back. You both hold a large amount of body fat for people your height. Your profiles openly say it. You are refusing to look at the likely causes behind the reasons behind this fat gain and what you are attempting to lose.
Are you genuinely telling me you believe junk food is good food to diet on?
My body fat is actually within normal limits for a woman now. I haven't updated my profile in ages. And yes, I ate food of all kinds while I got down to less than 30% bodyfat. I'll continue to do so while I contine on to my goal. And guess what? (This is really going to blow your mind.) I'm going to CONTINUE to eat sugar and sweats AFTER I reach my goal! Wow! I know, right? Know why? Because I can.0 -

There is nothing at all patronizing about saying that junk food is not healthy? I can see how it has rolled from there to appear patronizing but I've given nothing but science here and been flamed for doing so.0 -

Maybe you should re-read your posts to figure out how you may have sounded that way.0 -

Are you deliberately missing the point where junk food contents are unhealthy? In terms of what is going on the inside?
There is nothing wrong with sugar, nor sweets. A carb is a carb. Can you two stop labouring this point - I've never claimed there is a problem with sugar nor carbs.0 -

Dude, get over yourself. No one here is stupid. We've all been well educated on how the body works. We're not new around here. For the affects to take place that you're talking about, you have to already have a large store of body fat AND you have to have an excess of sugar in your system all at once for an extended length of time. No one is working toward that.
In addition to that, the concept of "junk food" doesn't do much to help people who have issues with wanting what they can't have. So, rather than deny themselves "junk food", many just see food as food, and eat within their macros and micros. It's an easy, relatively healthy, sustainable lifestyle for those interested in leading a healthier life.0 -

Exactly. Considering that more often than not body builders have questionable health habits in their own right.0 -

Its not about being a bodybuilder.
Never mind tho - if you think its all healthy go fill yourself up.
I tried my best0 -
Do i need to punish my body ...any more ?
Is a phrase that comes to mind when i think of eating things i know i shouldn't .0 -
I don't really care how people reward themselves. What I see as ridiculous others might see as perfectly fine. For example: I might think it is ridiculous for women to reward themselves with new shos when the shoes they have are still in good condition, but is really my place to tell people they shouldn't . Personally I don't use food as a reward but I don't need to. I eat in moderation and I don't deprive myself of any foods. I don't eat 100% clean as that would not be sustainable for me. I am healthy and that is all that matters. People have to make their own choices and shouldn't worry about what other pe0

WHAT?
we have people throwing perfectly fine death boxes in the garbage.
we have people believing people eat dog food to lose weight.
we have starvation mode running rampant.
we have clean colons scrubbing themselves.
we have truckers on CB.
oh Ms. Sunshine...please0 -

But its not equal nor is it healthy.
Its not that simple. And furthermore, a calorie is not just a calorie. The thermic effect of food has an effect on weight loss. When fat has 2-3% of its calories burnt off into conversion of energy, carbs 6-8% and protein 25-30%, do you really think it is all still equal?
Even with carbs, the fiber content of a diet is also another issue to consider. Dietary fiber contains far less metabolizable energy than starchy carbohydrates due to incomplete absorption of fiber and the amount of energy extracted from fiber is less than that of other carbohydrates.
Saying everything is equal as long as I keep to a set figure... is merely fooling ones self.0 -

I just adore that little kitty cat.
i dunno, he's pretty good comedy value, but i just don't know if i could love him sleeping on the end of my bed. imagine that face greeting you at the door when you come home! and think of how much money you'd spend on fancy cat food because he never seems pleased with the name brand stuff, or anything else really!0 -

I didn't say anything was equal I said people have to do what is sustainable for the long term. I eat as clean as possible but I do have "junk" on occasion( once or twice a month). I do what is sustainable for me and yes I am healthy at 18% body fat and 144lbs. I just don't think it is anyones business how people reward themselves.0
