what if I soak my bread in water before eating it? Like the competitive food eaters do? how do I measure the water intake then?0

I'm not sure I get really nervous making sure my counts are right so i use my handheld blender to whip up the lettuce until it's as liquidy as possible and then measure it in my measuring cup before adding it to my salad like a dressing. Way more accurate and you don't have to use any icky oily dressings or anything. Sometimes I jsut tdrink it from the cup directly. My mom saw me once and asked if I was okay. I have an appointment tomorrow.
We should direct the chick from the "Can you eat salads everyday?" thread over here. I'm sure she would find this mucho helpful.0 -

No, the banana cancels it out then. Sorry.0 -

Pour the wate in a measuring cup. Subtract what's left from the total and you know how much is in the bread.0 -

Lettuce will make you fat

That, sir, is one fat rabbit.......0 -

No, the banana cancels it out then. Sorry.
BUT, if you put enough celery in it that would cancel out the banana and then it would count again. It would be like the banana was invisible.0 -

This isn't a recipe its a mathematical equation. I need a calculator.0 -
There are different kinds of water, and lettuce water is different than drinking water. It's like good sugar and bad sugar. Lettuce water is more like bad sugar, and you need 8 cups of good sugar water...but there's no sugar in the water silly! hahaha unless there is. Don't get confused though, any sugar molecules in lettuce are GOOD sugar because they're attached to a vegetable, even though the lettuce water is like bad sugar-water.0

Iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach and tomatoes are all more than 90 percent water.
You can absolutely get some of your required daily fluids from these sources.
All fruits and vegetables contain mostly water. Some much more than others but all help give you the fluids you need to survive.
Keep in mind that 8 cups of water per day is just a recommendation. It's helps with weight loss because it can help you feel fuller with no calories.0 -

Good idea! I'm so glad I asked. You all always have the best ideas.0 -

Is she trying to hold in gas? Very dangerous. Did it come from drinking lettuce water? Maybe we shouldn't do this.0 -
If you're that concerned about your water intake, why don't you just drink water?
ETA: I guess should have scrolled through first :laugh:0 -
No. Lettuce, apples, cuccumbers are all diuretics that are water based but does not count as your water intake. Diuretics promote the excretion of excess fluid from the body. This reduces swelling of the limbs and prevents high blood pressure caused by increased blood volume. Diuretic foods contain high levels of water, which help flush excess fluids out of the bloodstream.
Watercress, artichokes, pears, leeks, asparagus, peaches, celery, apples etc.0 -

I do! But I want to get enough to help my weight loss journey but not drink so much that I die from it. So I have to be very careful about making sure how much I'm getting.0 -

You're right to be careful, this article says you could burst!

I've noticed on here, if 20 people answer a question, you'll read 18 different answers.
Everyone just has their own opinions and even if you ask 10 "experts", you'll probably get 10 different answers.
Over the 2 or so years I've been doing this, I've found that it's hard to find solid information on anything that has to do with weight loss.
From water, to cardio to weight training to diet. So many different theories out there.
I just kept experimenting and did what worked for me. I took it slow and easy and just settled in for the long haul.0 -

Lettuce will make you fat
proof:
WIN.
Except the rabbit probably eats carrots too. So...we can logically deduce that lettuce AND carrots will make you fat. Because carrots have sugar.0 -
Hey you know what I just realized sucrose is joined by a water molecule therefore theres water in sugar. So drink sugar.0
