Ladies, how long after you began your weight loss journey did you start seeing your results in looser clothing? A few of my friends said about 4 months in, but I am curious how long was for others, particularly women who have lost or are losing 100 pounds or more.

It was interesting actually...I started between 350-370 and I was a 5X.. It wasn't really a size thing anymore, it was trying to find anything that fit. Around 280 I was in a 3/4x ...but I still couldn't wear restricting clothing, it hurt my stomach (that's where all my weight is -_-) Now at 225 I still really don't like restricting clothing but I can buy 16s and they're comfortable. My stomach is still there so I still like bigger shirts, but 2Xs are FINALLY starting to look big on me. I think it's these last fourty pounds that are going to get me into clothes more comfortably.

I guess it all depends on your body type and where it holds it's weight :)

I was over 30 pounds down before my clothes felt loose. Now, I am wearing a belt with all my pants, except the two smaller sized pants that I held onto.
  • Started getting a little baggy at about 20 to 30 lbs. Not enough to bother me.

Now pretty much all of my pants are baggy on me I just don't want to buy new cloths yet. Just keep tightening that belt.

My workout cloths still fit ok because they are all stretchy and I live in those a lot of the time.

2 weeks - which was only a few pounds. Markedly so in 2 months.

I had to start taking in all my blouses at 20 pounds. My pants hang on me now at 26. I can wear most of my old pants (with a belt), but I look dumpy in all but a few of them. When I wear smaller sizes, I look much, much, much slimmer.

I'm tall and was only a little into the overweight category when I started, so that really surprised me.

My stupid SHOES are too big now. I had to add velcro to the pair I'm wearing this morning because my feet have gotten thinner and the strap won't match any more.

Well, when I first started, I saw a change in my clothing about a month in. But I also was losing around 2-5lbs a week for the first few weeks. I was a tight 24 and I think I actually went down to a 22 when I lost my first 40lbs. I'm down 100+lbs now and I'm a loose size 18.

Since I've always have huge hips and thighs no matter what size I am, thank you grandma, so I started noticing around the 15 pound mark. That was when my work clothes started to get loose around in the thigh area.

I would say around 30 . Around 50, I went and purchased all smaller sizes. It all depends on how you carry your weight though.

I have lost 93 pounds and am still wearing the same stretch pants size 4X as I did when I started. My daughter says they are parachute pants, but they aren't falling off yet. However, I am in a normal women's XL top, so I have new shirts/jackets. I'm so excited to wear "normal" clothes. I probably look ridiculous with my tight shirts and baggy bottoms.

I've read that every 17 - 20 pounds is a size, but that just doesn't apply to clothes that stretch. I did get a pair of jeans in a size 24, I haven't worn jeans in a long time, but know that I couldn't get into a 32 when I started.

I started in a large 16 but mostly size 18. I've lost 17 lbs (despite what my ticker says) and I've been needing new clothes for a while now. I have some clothes that I can wear bc I held on to them as I gained weight but I was mostly unemployed (working part-time at a gym so I was always in sweats) when I did gain the weight so I'm actually going to head out this weekend to buy some new work pants :-)

I haven't even lost 30 pounds yet, and some of my slacks are almost falling off of me. I really have to get a donation bag together soon!
