Three rewards when you reach your ultimate fitness goal?
Replies
-
1. A sexy as hell bikini
2. A cute party dress (I can't wait to wear one when my thighs won't chaff) :P
3. A spa day full massage and everything!0 -
A sense of achievement, gratitude, and much better health = A gift to my dear wife and me.0
-
A Brazilian bikini wax when I hit 50 pounds lost and then a stripper pole in our bar when I hit my goal. But the ultimate reward will just be being more comfortable in my skin and looking rocking naked.0
-
1) I would love to get a horse again. I MISS riding so much!!
2) Sundresses for the Summer!!!
3) and of course a new wardrobe!0 -
1. Losing weight and getting fit for me is a reward in itself for me. I just want to be comfortable in my own skin and happy.
2. My husband has always wanted me to have a cute, short haircut, but my face has always been to round. It would just make me look heavier. I plan to get a short haircut if I reach my goal.
3. Still debating, either a tattoo with my husband (it would be a first for us both) or an expensive, sexy new piece of lingerie that I would feel totally comfortable and sexy in. (kind of goes with #1).
Happy losing to all!!0 -
I actually haven't thought about it! Hmmm....maybe a new phone? Of course I LOVE shopping but I do that no matter what weight I am haha. Or maybe an ipad mini! I think they're completely useless, but I find them adorable. Whatever I pick, gotta be something fairly expensive and something I really want!0

1. night of getting drunk..LOL
2. brand new wardrobe
3. don't need 3..happy with two.0 -
1) back tattoo
2) sexy lingerie
3) be happy in my new skin0 -
Mostly I just want to buy myself a brand new wardrobe - without much thought to the cost of those clothes! I cannot wait for that to happen! 53 more lbs to go!0
-
Rocking body in tiny wini string bikini:):happy:0
-
I think the rewards is going to be the goal itself; can't wait to be back at my lovin' weight.
I'll probably redo my wardrobe though I wouldn't say it's a reward as much as it will be a necessity.0 -
I have been rewarding myself along the way but some future rewards
1) A makeover, possibly enlisting help from a professional
2) Possibly work to get rid of skin flab or lasik.
3) A trip (this would be when both me and my husband reach our goals), somewhere I can wear a bathing suit.0 -
* When I lose 30 pounds (which I hit today!) - I will get a pedicure and see if any of my skinny clothes I have in another closet fit.
* When I lose 40 pounds I will get some new clothes – maybe something low cut. (I too would like to find clothes not in the “fat” store or the plus size area). Will have to get new ones as the old ones will not fit any more.
* When I lose 50 pounds (this will be more than my ½ way point) I will get some kind of tablet (like an iPad or Nook)0 -
NUDE PHOTOSHOOT
heh, I kid.
My ultimate reward would be to get back into the dancing scene. It's alot better to audition when the people auditioning sees a fit girl trying out than an ompa lompa.0 -
1. custom made leather jacket from here: http://www.makeyourownjeans.com/
2. trip to australia
3. my 3rd reward is a reward for EVERYONE since i will barely wear clothes
I love your first goal, I think I'll add it as part of my first one.
1. A new pair of skinny jeans custom made my this Make Your Own Jeans place
2. Become a fitness guru - spreading the love (of pain) to everyone I know
3. Take a trip to Korea with my tae kwon do college.
Moving on out of the chair now to get on with my fitness goals :laugh:0 -
1. Ribcage tattoo
2. Boudoir photoshoot (in the nearly nude)
3. Go somewhere that I can wear shorts!0 -

I've used makeyourownjeans to make me a pair of selvedge denim jeans; they are amazing, but I can't comment on the quality of their non-selvedge denim. I highly recommend them for a pair of proper fitting jeans; I'll probably order another pair when I get close to my goal weight as the my old ones are getting quite baggy (also falling apart).0 -
1. tattoo (I know ! But it'll be well hidden )
2. CLOTHES - (mass invasion of oxford street LDN and westfield)
3. "Road trip"/flying to the USA   :bigsmile:0 -
Oh and I officially changed my settings to maintenance yesterday!
Congratulations! That's wonderful!0 -
Hi All,
I saw this on another site and thought it would be good inspiration- how do you plan to reward yourself when you reach your ultimate fitness goal? It can be clothes, vacations, tennis lessons, a new cat , whatever. I am thinking of a perfect pair of jeans with no thought to cost, trip to the Netherlands, and the Seinfeld box set.
Please share your rewards, I would love to know what other people are looking forward to!
That's easy. Good health, great levels of energy and strong bones and muscles.
Love this response!0 -
1/ Decent photos of Hubby and I.
2/ Trip back to New Zealand to show off my accomplishments.
3/ A tattoo or two.
No need to have clothing as one of the treats as I will need them anyway.0 -
1. Staying off my high blood pressure medication and avoiding the various health issues that run rampant through my immediate and extended family;
2. Feeling happier and more confident in my own skin; and
3. My dream bed....just like the ones you see in the department store windows, complete with the fluffy duvet and tons of pillows!0 -

Love the idea! I'm incorporating it too!
1. A LuLu Lemon outfit--top, pants and jacket. I've been wanting one since April 2012 (after losing 25.5 lbs in 6 weeks and losing my challenge). I decided I could buy it when I hit my goal but couldn't justify the expense before that.
2. A pair of custom jeans from MakeYourOwnJeans.com sounds fun. I didn't do the jeans challenge at the gym because I thought I'd rather take my $100 entry fee and buy my own jeans at the size I want to be at when I'm finished.
3. A commemorative piece of jewelry. Not sure what yet!
I am also thinking I might be needing a tummy tuck and boob lift. Lots of extra skin!
I'll just be grateful not to worry about going to the doctors (I've experienced that already), not being winded walking up stairs and inspiring others to make healthy choices.0 -
I like the idea of a LuLuLemon outfit!
My goals after losing 30 pounds and successfully running 10k in May:
1. Being confident and feeling fabulous on stage at my university undergraduate graduation on May 23, 2013
2. My first LuLuLemon outfit! I frequent Walmart ......but after my weightloss this would be awesome! (Top, pants, jacket, bra, undies, the whole outfit! would be so fun!) I have never spent more than like 25$ for a top but this would be a sweet present for myself!
3. A new bathing suit (MAYBE EVEN A BIKINI) I have never owned a bikini but this would be awesome
oh,
4. I would love to take scuba diving lessons!0 -
This thread brings up an interesting point that I have noticed. The people I know who are the most fit tend not to have an 'ultimate fitness goal', but rather short-term and medium-term goals and the belief that fitness is not a process with a discrete start and end.
I think that this equates to the 'lifestyle change' often referred to here.
Also the thought that being healthy is some sort of terrible thing that you need to 'reward' yourself for doing seems wrong-headed.
Not trying to be negative here, just making an observation. It seems like if you enjoy fitness, it is enough of a reward in and of itself, and it becomes just a way of life rather than something that you 'do' and need to reinforce through rewards.
Am I just crazy?0 -
I've noticed that a lot of people have "getting a tattoo" as one of their goals. Tattoos rock! I have 5 with plans to get at least one more. They are quite addicting.0

1. Tattoo
2. Bikini
3. Lingerie
4. New Wardrobe0 -

You'r e crazy, NOT! You have a good point being fit or liking a fitness activity, should in essence be the same thing as buying food, breathing air, and walking. It's something that should be part of our lives. "Weight" has become the only measure of ones success in recovering ourselves from an easy lifestyle and most "health" website are only designed around this measure. You could be quite thin and have no muscle and be classified as "unfit". So who is rally more fit? The person lugging around a 200lb body when they should be around 165 or someone who can barely lift an eating utensil if they lift one at all?
Let me rephrase my response, my ultimate fitness goal:
1. Life
2. That the word "fitness" and all it's meanings becomes part of who I am without further thought
3. and a new tattoo as a permanent reminder of who I am and what life is all about.0 -

I think that's why I just don't have a reward. My body is my reward. When I get to where I want to be, I won't need any reward.0 -

Hmm, I suppose you are right in some ways. When scale numbers are the true goal and that magic number appears, it can seem as though you've somehow finished and can go to Couchpotatoland. My "Ultimate" goal is just to be able to get my non-runner self to run a 5k in 30 min, the weight loss is more icing for me. Though, I don't imagine I'll quit running after I accomplish that. I'm starting to get to the point where my non-runnerliness is almost runnerly.
I hesitate to assume that weight loss is the fitness goal each poster is rewarding him or herself for. It may be the likely choice, but not a sure one. Maybe it's doing handstand pushups? Besides, perserverance is worth rewarding.0
