Trying to lose weight but staying the same.

Been on a diet with going to the gym 2-3 times a week. Always staying in a 1200-1300 calories mean and eating more vegetables and less carbs (or unhealthy carbs) and hardly any meat and dairy. In the first week there was a 2 pound drop but then I gained it back again. Then this week, I stayed the same (Also my measurements have not changed, so I know it's not muscle) I'm at my last 20 pounds ( I lost 40) and I'm use to fast results. Should I be more patient? I'm just more angry at myself because I gained 8 pounds in the winter and didn't diet, so when I was 10 pounds away from my goal now I'm 20. Any advice?

When working out it is more important that you use measurements than weight. Remember musle weighs more than fat so if you are going down in measurements but up in weight it is ok.0

If you only have 20lbs left to lose you should probably increase your calories. You will need to lose the last 20lbs slowly.
Also, do you eat any of your exercise calories back? You can also try switching up your exercise routine to shock your body.0 -
I had this happen about a month ago. I originally had my calorie intake set to lose 2 pounds a week. For about 4 weeks strait I hit a plateau and couldn't lose any weight and I was extremely hungry all of the time. I then decided to change my weight loss goal to 1 pound a week and try some different foods in my diet such as spinach, asparagus, walnuts, etc. I started losing weight again, just not as fast as i used to.
I think that since my body had less fat to consume that it needed to eat more food more often. I eat 5 small meals a day and workout 3, sometimes 4 days a week for an hour each time. My meals are about 300 to 400 calories each on non-workout days and 400 to 500 calories each on workout days. I feel great and I'm never hungry and I'm still losing a pound a week, sometimes a little more depending on how intense my workouts are.
Hope this helps you. best of luck to you!0 -
just be patient. that last few pounds always tends to be the hardest to get for everyone, not just you.0
