5k walk/runs?

I've never done one but would like to participate in one in 2013. But I'm having trouble finding good websites that will accurately inform me on any races going on in my area.

*Anyone have any good website suggestions? FYI: Google wasn't really helpful.

I've used www.active.com to find races in my area. You can put in your location then search for 5K.

I agree with the others...Active.com is a way to go. You can also order Runner's World Magazine. There you will learn more about running/walking, diet, injury prevention, and more.

I typed in 5k races in ohio and found a few sites that hosted 5ks in just ohio. I would try your state.

Yep, Active.com is the way to go! Have you been training yet? The C25K plan is great - I'm on week 4 getting ready for my first race on 1/19.

Same here, Active.Com. You can also go to your local running stores, and they usually have fliers of upcoming races in your area. Happy Running!
