Well...My step dad lifts monday through friday and then rests saturday and sunday...Ohh and before, when he would get done lifting hed go really fast on the elliptical for 20 mins...He got in reaaaally good shape within 3 months....
I also had a guy friend at my old school that was really into lifting...He lifts like 6 days a week... idk how his routines went but i know he had "leg days", etc... One big convo i remember with him was when i asked, "arn't you only supposed to lift like 3X a week???" His response was, "No...Thats only if you want to be AVERAGE" IDK why, but that really mad me think!
I am doing NROLFW which says to only lift 3X a week, and they are full body workouts. I personally like not lifting every day because i feel like i would start to not like it....I always look forward to it, so i like to build up my excitment:)
If your doing full body workouts 3X a week, i think thats good enough...maybe 4 but i think thats definatly enough! On your non-lifting days do some cardio! Running will get you great results...or just switch it all up, take some classes at your gym or something:)
I hope this somewhat helped....lol0 -

2-3x/week is ideal for most people. Every other day at the most. More will not provide any benefit in terms of muscle synthesis, and will increase recovery time, which can actually decrease the efficacy of future workouts, as well as increasing chance for injury. The caveat to this is if you are doing half-assed, f__karounditis style workouts, in which case every day will probably be beneficial. Work out hard, and 2-3 days/week is the most you need.0

I think it depends on your body. If you are a beginner its best to go 3x a week since your body is not yet used to the demand and intensity. You can eventually build up to 5-6 times a week, even 7 if that is your style but I think that your body needs at least one to two days of rest to recover. Overall it depends on your goal.0
