    ANY of the Jack Reacher Novels by Lee Child

    My Latest interesting read was Life of Pi by Yann Martel

    I've recently started re-reading The Hunger Games series for the 10th or so time (LOVE)

    The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo series is amazing also!

    And of course, Jane Eyre...because you just can't hate a classic.

    How rude. Some of us have more of a sense of adventure and humor than you do apparently. Go back to your Harlequin Romance books and leave us alone.

    I loved Gone Girl ~ I recommend it! If you read it, let me know what you think after you finish it. :)

    As I said before...I ditto this for sure. And her other two books, I couldn't put them down. Can't wait for her to write more.

    OH. And for you Stephen King fans out there, if you haven't read The Talisman, you are missing out on a beautiful piece of literature. It is written by King under the pseudo Peter Straub. Seriously the best work I think he has ever done. It has an innocence you won't find in the other novels he has written, yet it has all the glorious imagery and horror he is famous for. FFFFFF love that book! Seriously, thank you to whoever started this thread. Books are ****ing awesome.

    I loved Hunger Games, Love Jane Austin, Oscar Wilde,
    The millennium series is so good...couldn't put them down no-matter how disturbing they got....wow I've read so many good ones I could go on for ages.
    They have to be my favourites at the moment though.

    And I hated 50 Shades of Grey, part of my lit course is editing books....it was awful seeing so many mistakes in so small a place....but I sit and correct everything...even letters from the people who own the flat I live in so maybe I am just mad :P

    The Tailsman and the sequel black house- Stephen King and Peter Struab
    I own over 1000 books and I've read most of them atleast 3 times

    I love books too, but with all the changes lately, i haven't quite been able to read. Actually got about a chapter and a half done last night before bed. On the second Hunger Games book. I read really slow though. Wish it was faster. I use to fly through books.

    My all time favorite book is "Dead Sleep" by Greg Illes. It's a romance mystery.

    My goal is to get at least the second Hunger Games book done by the end of year. I hope to read everything on my shelves next year. LOL.

    Have you read his book "Collapse"? He also has a new one coming out 12/31 called "The World Until Yesterday". It's on my (extremely long) wishlist of books to get for my kindle when it comes out.

    There are 3 books in the series. The second two, I think, are much different than the first. Not better or worse, just different. I loved them all.

    I've started using GoodReads (goodreads.com/musiqueange) to track which books I've started and then abandoned and I've been trying to go back and actually finish them. I just finished my fourth of that type and brought a new one for my lunch break. :))

    As far as favorites go, I enjoyed Harry Potter and John Green's books, also Hunger Games but lately I've been reading historical musical romances (if that makes sense.) It's a special taste, I guess. :)

    Of course there are the obvious Fifty Shades and Reflected series'. Now I'm on the 12th and final book of the Kelly Favor series. Yeah, I guess I like the "lady-porn" stuff :tongue:

    I happen to love all different types of books, but I am a fiction junkie. Some people on here are quick to criticize but keep in mind that everyone's tastes are different and sometimes you pick up a book just for the pure entertainment of it.....just my opinion :)

    Attempting to read "Les Miserables" by Victor Hugo. It's a bit daunting. The book is HUGE, the pages thin and the print small. Should keep me busy for quite a while.

    One can have a sense of adventure and humor and still hate this trilogy of watered-down WTF.

    Books are like the opinions about them. There are thousands and to each his/her own.

    I second the Gone Girl recommendation.
    Also Mrs. Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.
    The Hunger Games Trilogy
