I know it doesn't work for everyone, but I was stuck for almost a month. I increased my calories and days I worked out I eat about 100 calories more than a usual day, sometimes maybe even more. I have lost the past two weeks with doing that. Also my sleep patterns have gotten better which also causes me too lose weight. I'm not sure why, but since i'm on a decent sleep schedule I feel more motivated throughout the day! good luck with everything! :-)

I was stuck for 4 months. No joke. I did all of the tricks you hear about on MFP- calorie cycling (aka zig zagging), changing up the exercise routine, upped my calories, lowered my calories, etc. Nothing worked except time. I just stuck it out, kept logging, and for reasons unbeknownst to me, the weight just started moving again one day.

Also, how long have you been stuck? I have seen people on MFP claim they are plateauing because they haven't lost any weight in a week or two- that's called normal weight loss. If it has been going on 4-6 weeks+, I'd call that a plateau.
  • I havent broken my weight in almost 4-5 months!
  • More protein and lifting and I cut cardio down to no more than once every two weeks. I plateaued at 121lbs and now I'm 113lbs.

    1) Are you logging your calories elsewhere? Because I don't see you logging them here. Obviously, if you're not tracking, you don't really know what you're eating. You could easily be over- or under-eating

    2) Even though you're not tracking on here, you have it set to 1200 calories/day. Is that what you're eating now? When you're larger, you can afford to eat at a larger deficit because you have more fat to lose. As you get smaller, that deficit needs to become smaller, so you potentially need to eat a little more. Unless you're very short, 1200 calories is typically not enough. Your weightloss could be stalled because you're not adequately fueling your body

Without knowing your diet and exercise routine, that's all I've got. Good luck!

I upped from 1320 to 1690 and waited and waited and waited. It took over 4 weeks but it worked. I noticed more change on my body before the scale followed. I also upped my water intake and lowered my fast food intake.

I definitely think you need to start logging your foods again, and to make sure you are eating enough. When you were, I noticed you weren't eating nearly enough... which can be doing more harm than good. Remember the good fats and snacks and eat more of those !!! YOU CAN DO ITTTTTTTTTTTTT

I increased my calorie intake by 200 and increased intensity of my workout. Plateaus are a pain in the *kitten* indeed but everyone gets them but make sure it doesn't demotivate you.

I increased my calorie intake and I eat every 3 hours starting at 6am. I eat 5 to 6 times a day. The scale is moving again in the right direction.

omg! i can so RELATE! My weight has hit a plateau for about 3 months now! It is driving me crazy. I refuse to give up though. I keep excercising and tracking all my food! So, it's nice to know that you pushed though it. Makes me feel better that I am not alone! Thanks for sharing!~

I'll probably get yelled at that this isn't the right way to do it, :ohwell: but I was just stuck for a month- wouldn't budge, I didn't eat anything all day on tuesday- just drank water - and then I ate again wednesday and now today I am unstuck finally.

    Consistency or eat less.
