I get up early on a cold winter morning and go to the gym, instead of staying in the warm bed and dozing!0
-
I go through the McDonald's drive-thru every morning and order just a Diet Coke instead of the burrito meal I had become addicted to!0

When I talk myself out of cravings0

I ran 15 miles for the first time in my life like i just did an hour ago.
Now I shall have cake.0 -
I don't give into the free donuts vendors bring in at work, or eat the cake at the birthday meetings.0
-
I turn down a trip to the pub in favour of a gym work out.0

I can go an hour on the treadmill and have the stamina to do more.......0

I decide I can do one more rep, and end up doing two0

I increase my weights at the gym and find it to be not only possible, but invigorating.0

I don't snack late at night.0

when I go into the kitchen and have an entire pie staring at me, and I opt for carrots or broccoli, not because I know they're better for me, but because I actually WANT to eat them.0

Every time I duck my head underwater in the cold pool and start to swim.0

I choose to go home and make dinner rather than stopping at my favorite diner (and the cinnamon horn for desert!)0

<At a cocktail party, with lots of friends, lots of good wine, & a table full of holiday potluck appetizers>
<oh and the food, mostly store-bought - nothing out of the ordinary amazingly lovingly house-made >
With my one drink in my hand, I survey the food table- In my head "yup - nothing good to eat" - then go to the non-food room and have a lovely evening catching up with friends.
Impressed that I did not allow food the upper hand in my thoughts. I think I've turned a corner

I calculate my standing from a race and find I'm in the top 10% of ladies my age that ran that race! It inspires me to keep running!0

When I pass up my broithers half eaten birthday cake that has been taunting me . When I pass up the free pizza and breadsticks at work for a salad.0

I realize how much heavier I can lift than just a month ago and that I look forward to going to the gym early on a Saturday morning instead of having a lie in.0

When I can negate all emotion and complete a task 100% objectively but at the end of the day I can switch myself back on.0

I make pancakes and put some on my plate, then decide against it and make up a couple scrambled aggs and grab a new plate. Calculated that I just saved myself 260 calories doing that ;-)

I pushed myself on this lazy Saturday afternoon and went to the gym to do a cardio workout0
-
I had a horrible day and took it out on the cardio machines instead of punishing my body with a binge.
We ordered Chinese food the other night, and I got roasted chicken and broccoli (no sauce) instead of chicken fried rice.
I have a HUGE bowl of Christmas chocolates on my desk at work, and I've only eaten 2-3 tiny pieces every day instead of half the bowl.
I went to the gym aiming for four minutes on the elliptical (I'm 311 pounds, and I have knee issues), and I was able to do six minutes before I stopped. If I can keep adding 30 seconds to a minute every day, I can get up to my goal of staying on for 45 minutes.0 -
I sit and eat with my kids happily devouring a breakfast of yogurt, nutty whole grain toast, and fresh pineapple, kiwi, melon and apple slices(their plates with peanut butter to dip them in)
Glad we take the time...and hoping to pass along better habits for their future...0 -
....I can stop snacking after dinner and go to bed without guilt.0
-
I can do two reps of 10 pushups each from my toes!!!0
-
I convince myself at 645PM to go for my 3-mile @ pace run the day before I'm actually supposed to do in order to avoid missing the run or running at 4AM after it's been snowing all night. The things we do to not miss workouts.0
