Sleeping in

I normally eat 5-6 smalls meals a day during the week but on the weekends I often sleep in so won't eat my first meal until after noon. Should I eat the same amount of calories on these days, even though I'm asleep most of the day?

I wouldn't. I would also ask why do I need to sleep into the afternoon? Here's my story. By the end of the week, I use to look so forward to weekends to catch-up on my sleep. I didn't think this was normal and spoke to my physician. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I have been using a CPAP machine for the last 10 years. I now sleep no more than 7.5 hours a night, rarely nap during the day and have a lot more energy. I use the extra time in my life to train therapy dogs, go on visits to nursing homes and hospitals with my dog Skip. I was literally sleeping my life away!

What does this have to do with the OP's calorie intake?

I dunno, right now as a college student who works late most week nights, sleeping in on the weekends is my only form of relaxation I have before I go back to the library in the afternoons. Once I'm out of school and I will actually have free weekends I will keep this in mind.

Ok, that put's it into perspective for me. I work with people going to school and work full-time. It's a tough life for them. Once you graduate, employers really look for people with your kind of determination. Keep up the good work!
