AWESOME POST!!!! WAY TO COMMIT TO YOURSELF!!! THIS JUST ENCOURAGED ME TO STICK TO MY 60 DAY JUICE CLEANSE THANKS FOR THE MOTIVATION AND YOUR WONDERFUL POST!!Today, for the first time since 1998, the number on the scale started with a "1" instead of a "2". Yes, i weigh less than i have in the past 14 years. I started at 278 lbs. MFP, i owe everything to you and am so thankful. I feel like im walking on a cloud today. And i know its not a fad diet, i've changed my entire life style. Last week we were on a 1 week cruise to celebrate my 30th birthday (yikes, im 30- still a bit depressed LOL) and i came home to no weight gain at all. While i did eat more than usual, i naturally went to healthier options. I didnt want the fries or the pizza or the nachos. i WANTED the grilled chicken sandwich and the fruit and the veggies. I FEEL so much better when I eat healthy. Most of my after pics are from the cruise this week.
How i did it... I just followed what MFP set for me. I started around 1700 cal a day and am now down to 1200. Yes people say that is too low for them but its not for me. I never feel hungry and unsatisfied. I dont eat empty calories. I cut all soda/pop out (I use to drink 5 cups a day) and only drink water now. I eat a lot of chicken, a lot of fruit. Nothing fried or greasy. I do loosen up a bit on the weekend and will have a slice of birthday cake or cookies, etc. My form of exercise is mostly walking. I also have 2 kids, a 1 yr old and a 2 yr old so most of my day is spent chasing after them. I dont belong to a gym. My new years resolution this year, however, will be to start toning up. I also just want to say thank you to my friends who motivate me every day. Its truly appreciated
