Hard to find time to exercise?

Right now I find it a bit tough to find enough time to exercise. I usually try to exercise at least 4 days a week. I work full time and I'm still attending high school as well. I'm home schooled so I work around my job.

I either work in the mornings to the late afternoon, and when I get home I go straight to school until bed time, or I work in the afternoons to the evening, so I start school right after breakfast until I have to get ready for work. I get maybe 1 day off a week and I spend that day doing school, most of the time.

I can't find more than 20, MAYBE 25 minutes, 2 times a week, to actually get out my weights and do some lifting. My job is pretty active if that helps suffice for lack of exercise at home. I work at a fast food joint so there's a lot of running around to do this and that. I also walk about a half mile from the bus station to my job at least 2 -3 times a week, sometimes even more.

At least right now, is 20 - 25 minutes 2 times a week alright? I can't really find more time because I'm a bit behind in school and I'm trying my hardest to get caught up.
Please don't think I'm making some poor excuses not to exercise because I want nothing more than to be able to workout like I used to but balancing work and school, at least right now, is pretty hard.

  • I'm finding a hard time to exercise too. Well your job is active so then that makes up..as long as you are getting physical activity in then it's all good. Don't stress too much

Since you're so busy, it's just as important to get your rest as it is to get some activity in so I think you're doing ok. That walk from the bus and your active job do count for something. Right now, concentrate more on keeping on target with your calories and eating as healthy as you can to fuel your body right. When you can, try to find more time for activity. Weight loss is more about diet - exercise is more for fitness/body composition.

Thank you! I'm keeping my calories at a 20% deficit and not eating any fast food or junk food! This makes me feel better :)
