How would you count Pump It Up on your fitness calculator?

Hi all! I went to an inflatable jumpy place this morning with my daughter.
I jumped, climbed, bounced, etc. for about an hour.
How would I count that in my fitness calculator
Thanks!

It would be really hard to guess at the calories, since it would all depend on the effort you put out, your gender, age, height, weight and fitness level. If it were me, I'd probably guess around 250, to be on the safe side, but that's me. I'd rather guess a little low and be wrong than the other way around.

If this is something you do often, or if your exercise is often things like this, you might want to invest in a heart rate monitor you could wear when you go. That would give you a fairly accurate idea. It's hard to find guesses on exercises that aren't typical, but those are the best in my opinion!

Btw, love the avatar. Fluttershy is my favorite. ^_^

Thanks for your reply. Wearing a heart rate monitor when I go there is a great idea.
I have a 5 year old and we go to Pump It Up quite often.
It's a workout - an hour's worth of inflatable jumping, climbing obstacle courses and running around after her. Whew!

And thanks for your comment re: my avatar. Having a 5 yr. old girl means watching lots of My Little Pony :)
  • I'm very interested in a follow-up when you go back with an HRT on. I went to Pump It Up recently for a birthday party and played with my kids as well as other kids. It was super fun. I calculated it very low to be on the safe side. I think I put in 150 calories.

My 9 year old is my excuse to watch cartoons, play with legos and color. ^_^
