    Debbe2 mentioned anorexia. Might be something to that.
    I'm sure there are male anorexics, but I've never heard of one, or seen one shown on TV. We associate eating disorders with women. Perhaps that's the cause for the off balance concern.

    Yup. agree with Lori. Some people are just stupid. Low calorie diets do not work long term because unless you learn how to eat a healthy diet, exercise and limit portions of high calorie foods, eventually you will go back to your old eating habits and gain all the weight back. Since low cal diets slow down your metabolism - you will probably gain back MORE weight. This is true for men and women

    There's a good chance that a lot of the people congratulating him didn't even read the post.
    I'm totally guilty of that, I just read the heading, look at the pictures and say 'congrats'.

    My take is the double standard is in the fact he already completed the loss. She hadn't started. Maybe they were just blindly congratulating the guy or thought it's too late to point out not to do it. Dunno, I am not the poster so not sure what went through their mind. Just an idea.
