...Grandma's homemade sweet potato soufflé, everyone gathering at my father-in-laws to eat awesome ham/turkey sandwiches, and the A Christmas Story Marathon.

What are some traditions, good or bad, that just MAKES Christmas "Christmas?"

My husband teasing me about him having to wrap all the gifts and I'm insisting I have a role--I write all the tags.

Telling the kids they can't wake me up before 7am but they can't get started without me either.

Insisting we open gifts one at a time so we can drag it out and see day other's excitement.

Finding at least one other person outside out family we wish to surprise. (Last year my favorite were random military gate guards).

Calling home. We move around a lot and often we are not fortunate enough to be around all our loved ones.

Watching Christmas movies and listening to Christmas carols.

Picking out new ornaments that relate to our special interests or the point in time.

I could go on but now it is someone else's turn.

Terry Pratchet's movie "Hogfathers." This is about the only Christmas tradition I get excited for - but I really do like it.
